I think Ajith Agarkar was been a bit out of form a year back and since then he has not given a chance in the Indian team. He is a wonderful bowler and an useful batsman low down the order as well. He has taken nearly 300 wickets (288 to be exact) in one day matches with the best bowling figures of 6/42. He is also the world's 13th highest wicket taker in one day International cricket. I think its not fair for being dropping him for such a long time. What do you think guys?

I think he's a wonderful player. But he has been out of form and has not proved himself for a long time that is why the selectors are not giving him the chances that he deserves.anyway, I wish him good luck.

Yes Ajit Agarkar was a very good bowler, but when he was dropped he was out of form. Also competition for a place in Indian team as a fast bowler has become very hot now.Zaheer Khan,Ishant Sharma,S.Sreesanth,Munaf Patel are most of the time around there. Also while India plays in India they generally go for two pacers. The thing going against him is that Zaheer has blosoomed as a bowler and Ishant Sharma is simply world class, also Ajit Agarkar is not getting younger.

On second thoughts (pls refer to my previous 2 comments below), I would agree with aakay's comment that the current team does look Solid!
Hope Ajit Agarkar gets some opportunity somehow to prove his mettle ;)

hi Vince McMahon
actually Ajith Agarkar is good cricketer
but the mistake is he wont bowl good at the right time
which is useful to the opposite team to score well
so only he is not be in team...
only thing is he should improve his bowling,he can get a place or else
he won't,since nowadays zaheer and ishant are doing good so he wont a have a place
advance Xmas wishes
have a nice day

Yes Ajit is a very good wicket taking bowler but I think we have meny young bowler who waiting for their chance and Ajit is also out of form when he dropped and Ajit is always very costly his eco is very high .Zaheer,Ishant are in full form so now a days it is not possible for him get in to the team.Hard lick for him.

I think that is purely his fate because he is very good in the game and he also has good attitude and moreover he has good record in playing cricket. I think they will take him for the next series.

I think you are Mumbaikar..Ajit Agarkar has had his chances and its more than enough for a bowler who give loads of runs and then gets a wicket with his well planned bouncer and many batsmen in the world cricket has understood the trick and had him hit for runs and he has really been the out of form bowler for years and he does not really desrve to be in the team and many youngsters have replaced his place with excellent bowling performances...Happy mylotting..

I think in indian cricket one player has got sufficent chance without performing is Ajit Agarkar, there are so many talented cricketers waiting for turn ,but Agarkar got sufficient chances, now he has no talent or skill to compete with IShant,Zaheer, munaf or Rp singh.

he done enough man. he is not man for indian cricket any more i think. he is out of form and there are lots of good bowlers are available. you know there is competetion going on for indian bowling team like there are munaf pate, praveen kumar, shreesant, irfan pathan, ishant sharma, zaheer khan, and other from ranji trophy, ipl, those bowlers are waiting for their chance. i think there is no more chance for ajit agarkar.

Are you from Mumbai ??
Agarkar has had his time under the sun. He has given us few memorable moments, but seriously speaking he is past his prime. Look at his IPL quote to get the real perspectve. Many talented bowlers like sreeshanth, balaji, i.pathan, gony, trivedi are knockng at the doors of test cricket. lets look ahead to the future with all due respects to Mr.Ajith Agarkar.
