Now that Caroline Kennedy has expressed interest in the US Senate seat that Hillary Clinton is vacating, is Caroline Kennedy at all qualified to hold that seat? She has zero political experience other than looking over family members shoulders. What chances do you think she will actually be appointed to the position?

Of course she is qualified, she's a Kennedy for Christ's sake. She's practically royalty.

And's the problem with our government. Qualifications have little to do with it. We have Al Franken and Fran Drescher and Hillary Clinton and now Caroline Kennedy. "Royalty" should have nothing to do with it. We need people that actually have a clue not someone who thinks they are entitiled.

I agree. If people didn't have this mentally we could have avoided a lot of not-so-great presidents... like... maybe our present one...

She is no more qualified than Senator Clinton was when she took office. She is likely no more qualified than many Senators are when they are sworn in. She is a smart woman however which might make her more qualified than many.

I'd vote for her before I would vote for Obama. She's experienced politics for her entire life.

Saw news about this on tv today and even the newscasters are thrilled to have some new gossip to laugh about since Caroline was so supportive of Obama and never wanted anything to do with an office, but now saying she wants to be the Senator..and her cousins husband Cuomo also wanting to be getting the votes for his office of Gov. this should be fun to see the outcome..
