Well, this is the thriving month for me! I have received payment from Mylot and Neobux few days ago. Now I got my first payment from Ciao! It's really a surprise to me. I have been anticipating it since I saw the payment initiated remarks in my Ciao account payment status. Because initially I thought I will not get this payment because it was almost due.
However, I notice something strange in my Paypal statement details. It might exist there since last time, but I just noticed it when I looked at this particular transaction. It's warning message about the missing of shipment address information.
Besides, it emphasize that payment without address are not seller-protected. Therefore, is it something new in Paypal, or is there certain risk that our payment could be cancelled by the payer (Mylot, Ciao, Ptc & etc) at anytime?
Attached is my payment proof from ciao. Now I am totally convinced that Ciao really pays. I think I will work harder there too!

I think all others got paid by Ciao as well, besides us. I have been reading about discussions about them being paid by Ciao too. Now I am totally convinced that Ciao is a legit site that really pays. I am so happy that there is another honest site that are paying. Therefore, I have one more place to work on, other than Mylot. Hope you will do even better in coming days, both in Mylot and Ciao. Thanks for your response and Merry Christmas to you too!

You payment can be cancelled by the payer if it has been found that you committed fraud, i.e. copied reviews from other sources which were not your own. If you haven't done anything wrong, you shouldn't be worried. Ciao is now owned by Microsoft, has been for some time, so all these silly conspiracy theories really should stop. I hate it the way people start panicking when things seem a bit delayed. Ciao is an online consumer review site and as with MANY online sites, things don't always run 100% smoothly. Yes, myLot pays out regularly as clockwork but seriously how many people make more than the pittance of $10 a month over here? This site is nothing like Ciao. It is only for members - Ciao's reviews are available to the public so it needs to be sure that copying isn't going on or they'd be facing lawsuits left, right and centre from the original authors. For those jokers who have been copying on there, be glad that your Ciao account has just been deleted (or will be deleted when you get caught) and your payment cancelled. I bet these copiers wouldn't like their details to be passed to someone who was going to take them to court for fraud?

I see, and thanks for the abundance of information given. I was a newbie in Ciao and now I know more about it. I didn't even know it was acquired by Microsoft. Or else, I would be much more confident in it. But because of so many scams happening around, people are getting more cautious and anxious about being cheated. I do not know wether this is a good thing or a bad thing. But as long as we are learning, then it should be a good thing for all of us.
In my case, I am writing my own opinions and not doing the 'copy cat' job. Therefore, I am sure that my product review is pretty safe there now, base on what you mentioned. So, I think my payment is secured unless unexpected things happen.
Thanks for your kind response in my discussion and have great day anonymili!

Yes I do use the same username over there but I do not expect people to go check out my reviews because they saw me over here. I do not give ratings to people just because they rated me, I read reviews which fall within my interest area and make a point of being VERY honest with my ratings. If the review is lacking information I will rate negatively. If there's any evidence of copying I will report it. If it's not written in clear legible English - I won't rate it because it's not worth the hassle of possible revenge rating. So go ahead and rate my reviews if you feel you want to, more especially the ones on advice to new members as those are the ones where I am most verbal LOL!

I think I am not pioneer anymore, because I have seen so many mylotters who have shared their experience in Ciao. Actually I am still a newbie in Ciao , but I sure will try my best to share what I know with you .
It's not complicated. After logging in, you just need to search for a product which you have used before or currently using. Take cell phone for example, you could look for the brand and model that you are familiar. I have written my review about my previous cell phone here:
http://www.ciao.com/Sony_Ericsson_K600i_Silver_Aluminum__Review_10064666
After completing your opinion and experience about the cell phone, you just do the product rating and post it. You will be paid $0.25 for each review you have made. If other Ciao member read or rate your product review, you will credited $0.01~$0.04 base on their preference.
Let me know if you haven't join this site, then I will send invitation to you! If you have joined, and need to know more details which I have missed above, you can send me a PM as well. Good luck and have nice day diansinta!

Hi diansinta, the product review is not only for electronic gadget. You can write review on the movies that you have watched. It's not limited to English movies, it covers non-English movies too. That's the part I like, because I have watched countless of movies, and therefore, there is a lot of opportunity to write reviews about films that I have watched before.
I have accepted your request in Ciao. Hope we could start helping each other from now on!

Well I see, thanks for your information. I was not aware of that, because I thought it's very normal for delivery of virtual goods and service without shipping address. I think because of shipment is not required for such service or goods, therefore, the payment processor company (Paypal, AlertPay & etc) allows for the refund to the 'buyer', which is Mylot or Ciao, who bought the writing service from us. But as long as they are legit, I think they won't file a claim to refund their money.
It's useless for me to withdraw my money to other place. My paypal account is linked with my bank account and my credit card. Therefore, if a refund is approved by Paypal, they can still charge me even if my account is empty.

Thanks chantalgiardina! I am very happy too because this is my first payment from Ciao. I thought they were not going to pay me. I think Ciao is a legit site and they are paying generously. I am just a new member there, so I didn't how much they have changed their ways of paying. I still prefer Paypal, because it's free transaction to my bank account.
Sure, let me know if you know anything about the shipment address issue. I think it's just warning, and won't jeopardize my fund in my account. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you
