February, Friday the 13th, 2009 is the release date for the Friday the 13th remake. Have you folks seen the trailers for it? Youtube has them, so be sure to take a look. There's a teaser trailer, and a theatrical trailer. I think they both look great, but especially the theatrical trailer, (the one where it counts up to 13).
Part of it shows someone distributing missing persons flyers for one of the victims. I know that's a tiny little thing, but it's an attention to detail that's been missing from these kinds of films.
I've heard some complaints that say Jason shouldn't be running, and that he never runs, but that must be coming from folks that haven't seen part 2, 3, and 4, back before Jason became undead.
What do you all think? Is a remake a bad thing for Jason, or is this just what the doctor ordered to bring back the old days of one Jason film per year?

It doesn't really matter either way to me. I've never seen any of the old friday the 13th movies. I'm not interested in seeing the remake either. I guess horror films just don't do anything for me. They make me to tense to watch them. I don't know that a remake of a movie like that is a good idea after making 4 of them so long ago. Are they running out of movie ideas?

I love the old ones. Im really excited for the new one too. Its really funny how you said the first two or three were horor and the rest people cheered Jason on. I totally agree with that. Im sitting there its like hmm you dont deserve to live then jason comes out of nowhere. Its so great
