We be doing an advance Christmas party this coming Monday evening, yesterday we have drawn among ourselves for the Christmas present, mine was a lady, who comes from our sister company and I don't have any idea what would suit her. To this end, may I ask especially the ladies, what would be the best gift for this person you think ? and others may help me on this as well. Your suggestions and advices would truly be valued !

Do you have any idea of her age for one; and is there a budget limit? I have seen people give vouchers for beauty treatments, dining and movies and things like that and they seem to be received quite well. It is not a specific item as such and gives the person receiving it the flexibility to use the voucher as they wish.

I dot have any idea where to find one, but maybe I'll ask some ladies in here if they know those vouchers. Pretty clever !

Well my dear for a woman like me, she would perhaps love to receive a shoulder bag for a gift. It must be fashionable and maybe you should choose neutral color like black or brown so she could easily match this with her apparel. Or else, try to find a way to know what is her favorite color so that you can buy a bag of her favorite color.

Although I generally do not like giving these as gifts, a gift-card is always good when you don't know what someone would like. Maybe a gift-card to a certain restaurant or well-known store in the area. I've always had a hard time when trying to buy a gift for someone I didn't know. Being a woman, there could be any number of things she would like that could be very different than anyone else you know. A gift card will cover all the bases... she can buy what she likes.

The problem with gift cards or others call it gift certificates as someone suggested to me, is that I don't know where should I buy or find one in my place. Thanks for your suggestion.

i think that it is not hard to give a lady a gift. i think that ladies love so many kind of things. what ever you will give as long as it is useful though not expensive will be highly appreciated. i too have just bought hours ago mine gift for the person i have drawn who is a man. cause we valued our gift not lesser than $4. it is not that big. so what could i possibly buy on that small amount. i have decided to buy a socks. i don't know if this was a good choice. but i don't find any worthwhile to buy on that amount. and i don't have the money yet to buy more expensive gift.

It is also good to ask for suggestions also dear, people has different views that might be helpful. Of course, I would prefer to give someone with a personal appeal to the person, this individual is kinda stranger to me.

Christmas is a special occassion for most of the peoples and i could say make the present on your taste and let it be unique, if possible you can provide a old photograph of both of you laminated in a glassware

If you have not made up your mind till now- consider buying cosmetics, or handbag. I believe handbag will be the better option.

Hi torchablazed! Small small things make the women happy. Like a beautiful dinner, greetings card, flowers chocolates, flowers. You could buy a memento to make the day special. If you know the lady you must be knowing her likes or if you know someone who knows her you can hi/her. Have a great time and keep us informed. Good luck!

Anything like lotions, and soaps, the bath sets you see at the store. I know I would enjoy it if someone gave that to me. I can't think of anything else, maybe a gift card, she can spend it on whatever she wanted.

Hi! I guessing the party's tomorrow right? I can only think of a perfume, cellphone pouch and candies (chocolates, candy canes, etc) just to be safe. But if it were me Id do a little research on the lady and ask around their office or common friends what she would prefer to have but of course not dropping enough hints that you're the one who's giving her the gift. It would be much appreciated that you have made the effort to know what she would really like and just the gesture of it can already make her feel good for the holidays. Well, thats just a suggestion and given that its tomorrow, I think that you mightve already found something to give her.^_^

Hrm, well even with gift exchanges, I tend to keep them neutral, JUST in case something happens, like one year, when the girl I was suppose to give the gift to, couldn't show, and we had a "team switch up" the day before, so all of a sudden the gift was for a guy, and thankfully I had just got a mini desk fountain, so it was neutral, and fitted for anyone. So if it's a company desk job that she does, maybe one of those desk "zen" items, like a sand garden, or the water fountain, which are actually QUITE safe, since the desk ones aren't supposed to have too much water.

If you go with perfume or candy, you run the risk of not suiting her tastes. Why not something Christmas themed like ornaments or decorations?

Or perhaps a little vase or candy dish. Not necessarily Christmas themed. Maybe made from crystal or cut glass. They are very tasteful and suit everyone's style.

We don't give much flowers during Christmas parties in my country, but definitely it would touch a lady's heart if I would be able to know her birthday !
