Do you get disappointed when you donot get a single response for a discussion that you have started?
Earlier I used to. But now i learnt the trick. the best way would be to start a lot of discussions instead of one or two so that you get response for at least a couple of them even if its just one response.
It usually works for me except for times when luck is simply not in my favour.
Do you have any such tricks to share?

Yes, i'll be disappointed if my discussion do not get any responses, it will break my heart into pieces. But i'll take it positively that may be it has no response because they do not understand or they do not have any answer for that topic. It will become a lesson learned, so we know which topic will have more response. The most important thing is we must have positive attitude that motivate ourself to start more and more discussion. "NEVER GIVE UP, KEEP MOVING FOWARD, BE POSITIVE THINKING" CIA YO!!! GAMBATE NE!!!

Hi There!
When I was new here in mylot, I tried to post some discussions… My first few discussions got few responses from mylotters. I feel a little disappointed but not really bad since I was new… I don’t have lots of friends and I am just starting out… What I did is answer their discussions then add them to my friend’s list then after that I created my own discussion again and Ola! People responded… It really takes time you know… but I am happy with mylot and the people here!
Don’t worry, others will notice your discussions… just be active here... they usually check your profile and the threads that you have started then if it is interesting then someone or somebody will really answer that… GOodluck!
Happy Mylotting and Happy Mylotting! Cheers!

I feel quite disappointed and sad about having no response to the discussions I have made. I think I have 2 topics with no responses. I think that there are people who could have respond to my topic if only they were logged in the time I started such discussions. Well, I have no tricks to share. I only start very few topics in a day. There are also days that I do not start my own discussion. I guess I am more of a respondent than a starter. Anyway, Goodluck to you! Happy Lotting!

I really get frustrated sometimes but on the other hand I can't really force people to respond to my discussion especially so if they are not really interested with it.

That's true. Sometimes I am waiting for a few hours for responses but nothing comes but after a day or two I get a few responses.

personally, i could say it is disappointing but i also know that it can avoided that there are really times that you will not be responded by others for the reason that some may not able to relate on the discussion, or they haven't came across it. I think its just a matter of learning how to make a discussion that can attract and that people can relate and that has good quality. I guess that's one of the trick.

Sometimes, very often it seems like no one is really interested in the discussions that are the most important to me. But they will all answer the fluff discussions that has no value.

It haven't really happened to me yet, I usually get at least 2 responses and that is already ok with me than no response at all. I probably would get disappointed, i would think why people would not respond to my discussion, it is because it is not catchy or because it is boring.

This never happened to me that i never get a response. I dont start alot of discussions myself, i rather reply to other discussions. But i think you should search for discussions similar to the one you are going to start, because that will cause your reputation to go down if you start the same or similar discussion which is already been there. I do that when ever i start a discussion. i hope this would help you next time. thanks

Yeah sometimes it does happen that you end up posting similar discussions. but nobody does it on purpose. its practically not possible to check all the discussion. And having so many like minded people around, its likely that similar discussions get posted by two people a lot of times.
Its good that you check things at your end. But no one is here to police others right. So I believe in just chilling and enjoying.
Thanks for your response.

well sometimes it feels like you know since no one has responded the discussion you feel like that your discussion is just useless and not capable of actually getting any responses, but then if you take it with a pinch of salt and practically then you might actually learn from them how to develop it and be better the next time......

I do not get disappointed. Since it is just a discussions. Maybe at that time, my discussion was not that attractive enough to get a response. Rejections are just the next step to Success!:)

Hi friend,Initially I used to worry when I get 0 response but I havent got any so far .I get atleast one.But I used to make only one or two discussions perday. Now a days I rarely make any.I find responding interesting than making discussions and commenting on each response we get.So now a days I only respond to discussions.Even we earn quite a good amount only in responding. So I concenterate in number of discussions I respond and not to make discussions.
thanks for sharing.happy mylotting.

Yes i get disappointed when i dont get any response for a discussion i start, and the worst thing is that my most common discussions i start get more responses than being specific. But anyways its ok,i raised two in Q&A and got irrelevant replies one in each,i raised the same in yahoo and got more than 30 responses and around 20 were of relevance,so i got my answer there.Yes i agree its better to raise 2-3 discussions at a time and a secret,i think when the mylot people update your accounts,i guess that time most of the users are online. Also building friendships so that we can respond to theirs then they will come to our discussion.Happy mylotting.

Not getting responses to my discussion certainly makes me down but it dows not drive me mad. I think everybody here except a few try to post a meaningful discussion and expect to get responses... at least a few. When a zero is shown beside your discussion, it does frustrate. i had the experience recently. However, there is no control on the issue. So i feel it is better to try again so that luck gets the scope to favor me.
Happy mylotting
