Hi all in mylot... Has anybody ever used Voice Recognition software? I have tried the one that comes with ms office. My experience is awful. The words that I dictated and the words that was typed have nothing to do with one another and it happened in most of the cases. So none of the sentences appeared meaningful. What is you experience? Please share. Thanks in advance

My first experience with Voice Recognition was this software call Dragon Natural Speak. It requires me to speak a total of nearly 200 pages worth of words to get the software tuned to my tone of English language. The latest that I have been working with is with Vista. It comes with voice recognition and allows me to command the computer to run programs. To enhance the experience, you will need a mic with good noise cancellation feature. It affects how the computer interpret your voice. Hope it helps. Cheers and Happy MyLotting...

I had used voice recognition software before. These programs are not really that accurate. The key there is to train the program with your voice as often as possible so it would recognize your voice. There should be an option to train the program with your voice with the program your using. Do that as often as possible and you'll get better results.

and another thing, accuracy is affected by noise, the kind of mic your using, and how loud your voice is. Hope this helps.

My friend, i guess the technology is still not that perfect. voice recognition softwares doesn't really recognize speech that well. and you also need to speak fluent english for it to be able to understand you. i also think you should run the wizard wherein you make known to the system the tone and volume of your voice for it to be effective.

Hi michael_nonan.. the technology is not so perfect and maybe my pronunciation is not so perfect. But i sincerely hope that the technology will improve to even recognize the speech of those who are native English speaker. Thanks for responding...
