For our children!
Lately my son has taken to wanting to bring his bear to school each day and even though the bear stays in his bag all day on his hook he wants to take him...This morning he wanted to take him but handed him to me about five minutes into our walk to school and then when we got to school he wanted me to bring the bear back home with me! So, I walked back down the sidewalk home carrying a teddy bear!
Have you ever done anything like this or do you ever feel like you are the pack mule?
Any other stories about things you've done for your children that were funny or could have been funny?

Every child will have their own companion kinda thing and they feel safe to bring something from home to school even though it's kept in their bag, but they will feel of the same safe and comfortable environment in school like what it is at home. And by parting "beary" to the mom is something of the child's decision as they know that they can now go without it as school is also a safe environment like what it is at home. And of course they would hand it over to someone they trust most to bring "beary" home.
Wonderful thing is that children will have a thingking of thier own and sometimes we can't imagine how or what they would think about.
I have done things like even to take out my daughter's "piglet" in a public restaurant and sit together with us for lunch. Ha Ha

AWW, I think that's so cute! My little one insists on carrying around a picture of the Harry Potter Train... He puts in in his backpack every time he goes to school and he brings it home every time! (Wish I could say the same for the tupperware I send his snacks in!)

Hi heavens,
That is just so cute. I love the way he calls him "Beary." He really is coming along in leaps and bounds.
When my daughter was around your son's age, she had an imaginary friend. She loved the Disney animated version of Aladdin. She just adored Princess Jasmine. Therefore, her imaginary friend was "Princess 'A' Jasmine." She didn't just call her Princess Jasmine, but stuck the 'A' in there, for some reason. Anyway, there was always a seat at the dinner table for her, she slept in her bed with her, and sat beside her on the couch etc. I was sternly told to make sure I didn't sit on her. One more thing, when my daughter misbehaved, guess who got the blame? You're right, it was "Princess 'A' Jasmine."
Take care.
Hugs

Thanks. There are times these days, when I realize that 'that age' was so much easier (for me.) I believe 'all parents' should enjoy their little ones, while they can.

I think you are right at times but then we need to try and enjoy and embrace each phase of their lives the best we can and believe that we have (are) raised them right!

Just last night my 10 year old handed me her stuffed mouse (the one from the book "If you give a mouse a cookie") because she was going to take her shower........ "Just don't let him eat his cookie, ok?"...... "Oh, I won't"...... "And hold him like this so he can see the TV"........"Ok". ..........
I think she's really having a little fun with me and I can't help but play along!

You've made me smile today rocketj1!
That's such a cute story and I've done things like that before too!
At least you were in the privacy of your own home when doing this
I've found myself buried under every stuffed animal we own at times as well and under a blanket hiding from my boy or with my boy under the blanket hiding from Daddy!...Do we ever grow up?!?

That is too cute. When my son was little his security was a bunny rabbit. And although he didn't trust me on the street with ithe did give me clear instructions as to what to do with the bunny while he was gone!
He is 18 now and I had put the bunny in an old cedar chest and when he had his first job interview about a yea ago I went and got bunny and asked him if he thught he should take him along! He told me to "Get a Life"
Enjoy them while they are young it doesn't last long!

True though mine may last longer than the norm...He has Autism and likes things familiar!
Love the story and good for you for bringing out the bunny...I'd bring it out on his wedding day too if it were me!
