Do you think people have free choice in the path their life takes or do you think everything is already determined and there is no real choice.
I believe that there is free choice and nothing is already set in stone. Even if it were set in stone, stone can be broken.

I believe in Free Will - because God said he gave it to us. However, I also believe God knows what will happen already, or perhaps on a quantum level, time doesn't really exist so it has all already happened - not pre-destiny, but that we humans experience things through our senses, showing us that time passes. We truly don't understand everything in our amazing universe...

Being a good Calvinist, I believe in both. I accept that it is difficult to understand, because let's face it, we're not God. How I explain it in my own mind is that God sees the course of our life played out--He is not confined to the limitations of time. However, in our limited concept of time, we are free to make our own decisions, mistakes, etc. He knows what will happen, but He did not create us to be puppets and so does not pull our strings. Does that make any sense?

I'm not familiar with Calvanism (is that correct?) Can you explain a little about it?
I'm not sure quite what you mean, though, about how God see how our life is played out but at the same time we are not puppets. The only way this makes sense to me is if you interchange the word "soul" for life and that the existence of our soul is not limited to one lifetime. Sorry if that was too convoluted and didn't make sense.

I believe that are lives are set out but that we do have choices we can make, but I believe that no matter what choices we make we will always end up on the path that was pre determind for us. And as you say stone can be broken, but it will always be stone, even if you grind it down it will still be stone but in very small pieces.
