So like the subject asks...do you like remakes of songs? Normally I'm not a big fan of remakes unless its done good. Some songs I really like hearing remade are; Finnegan's Wake, The Fields of Athenry (I love this song), Johnny I Hardly Knew Ye, Twiztid's cover of People Are Strange (I love there cover over The Doors , cause it feels more darker)..

That probably depends on which version of a song I heard first. I typically like whichever version I first heard, whether that be the original or the remake. I'm also sitting here thinking that perhaps I'm getting old as I do not know any of the songs that you've mentioned in your posting. Funny how time changes, I'm only 30 but but suddenly there's the younger crowd that is under 30, and then there is the "older generation". I think I am right in beween moving from one category to the next! Yikes! Happy Mylotting!

The remake really depends on the artist and the beat. If the artist has no flow and the beat has no rhythm, then it's guaranteed to be a song that was a waste of time. Sometimes even a very popular artist won't have success in remaking a song. I like some remakes, but the original version of some songs can't be redone. The original version is a classic. Some R&B songs for example are not meant to be remade, but still some artists try to remake that song.

Rarely do I like a remake. It's probably because I am used to the original. Once in a while a remake is done better than the original though.
