I received this email just awhile ago. I cannot believe that persons will go through the length and berth just to scam persons who will fall for this trick. Here it goes:
Goodday,
I know that this mail might come to you as a surprise as we have not met before,My name is Mrs. Grace Mugabe, the wife of Mr. Robert Mugabe the president of Zimbabwe i got your contact through Zimbabwe chambers of commerce and industry. Our country is currently facing international saction all over the world and my effort to so speak peace into my husband(President Robert Mugabe) prove abortive because he already have a wrong notion towards the western nations intention over his removal plan and his state when he lives office.
As you know the country(zimbabwe) is presently facing a strong epidemic and a high inflation and the pressure from the international communities to bring to bring down the regime of my husband(president Robert Mugabe) is a sure reality and when this happens i and my children might also go down with him.As the first lady of our country i have been able to use my position to raise some money from contracts which i deposited with a European diplomatic security company the sum of US$35M(Thirty Five Million US Dollars) knowing fully that our government will soon be brought down by international communities as Africa Union are beginning to take side with the international communities because of the manner at which things are degenerating in Zimbabwe.
I contacting you because I want you to go to the security company and claim the money on my behalf since I have declared that the consignment belong to my foreign business partner. You shall also be required to assist me in investment in your country.
I hope to trust you as a God fearing person who will not sit on this money when you claim it, rather assist me properly, I expect you to declare what percentage of the total money you will take for your assistance. When I receive your positive response I will let you know where the security company is,the requirement and the payment pin code to claim the money which is very important.
I shall keep you updated and also instruct one of my loyalist to alway keep you updated whenever my schedule is tight as i dont want my husband to know about this deposit and my proposal because my life might be in danger as you all know his kind of person. All this i am doing to assist my children as i know very soon when our regime is brought down our entire property will be confisticated along.I ask you to also pray for me to survive the internal threat i am experincing from my husband President Robert Mugabe because as i am sending you this urgent proposal tears flow from my eyes as i am living with a human monster.
For now, let all our communication be by e-mail because My husband security network is monitoring all activities sparing no body including my humble self his wife and other family member as he do not trust any one especially this period.
Thank you and God bless you and family and please contact me through this email. Private email: gracemugabe@aol.com
I hope that one day these persons will be caught because there are persons who will fall for this trick. Where I am working this lady say that she received a email saying that she win £100,000 so I asked her if she enter any competition. She laugh and told me that her elder son asked her the same question. She was there answering the person who send the email to her. I cannot believe that person can be so gullible. If her son didn't stop her she would have done exactly what the email asked for and now she would be crying.

That's smart of you to inform other people from falling prey to these scammers. I do wonder how many people are gullible to believe that they have won a sum of money in a lottery that they did not participate in.

That is quite ridiculous Kerri. That scam and others like it are so daft. Yet all that it takes is one person to fall for it and the scammers are making money. I have a "spare" e mail account and occasionally when I receive such things I send them a reply saying "Thank you for contacting the CIA. We would be delighted to hear more about your proposals". They never reply though. Was it something I said?!!!

These scams are very common and are, unfortunately, flooding the internet. The best rule that you can have for your online activities is to trust no one who contacts you out of the blue and to never, ever give your personal information...and especially your financial information out to anyone. Also do not accept money orders that you are asked to deposit into your bank account and send part of the money to someone. These money orders are fake and, when your bank is notified about it, you are responsible for returning the money. If it seems too good to be true...it is.

Hi spalladino yes there are alot of them these days. I received one from a Mr. Li twice he is in China but didn't mention it because it is the typical ones. But because this one is from that country you know persons will think twice with what is happening over there. It is so sad that person will use this sad case to try and deceived others.

I don't see how anyone could fall for this trick and if they did they do not need to be using a computer.

I have received many of those scams and I usually delete them right away (without reading them) but a friend of mine once decided to answer one of those scammers. They exchanged a couple of letters, my friend wasn't going to "help" this person but she pretended to be interested, asking one stupid question after another. The scammer never realized that he was the one being scammed and he used a lot of time and energy explaining things to my friend. I read some of the letters and it was hilarious. I don't like treating people this way, but I think that in this case the scammer deserved it.

Yes it good to turn the table back on them. There are a couple of persons in my country who has deceived persons this way. They were caught and now facing trial. Alot of Americans were deceived. A pensioner loss thousand of dollars. But I really cannot understand these person though. Sending money to gain money. How I can invest my money this way where there is a bank. If you have so much money don't the bank is the best way. People are not thinking straight.

I have received similar scam mails many times and whenever i read i just can't help but to laugh at them. How stupid they are to think that i will fall for this kind of scam. Anyways, what the hell are they doing scamming people. Instead making their lives better in a good way , they keep fooling people.

hi
i have received several emails like this before, these are scammers and spammers. do not believe in them. once i attempted to respond and ask how does it goes. i gave a hoax name and number and other details even the bank account. then after that nothing happens maybe they just thought that i am asking to much and i am just playing around with them.
nowadays people are becoming like this, they do such things in order to get money from other people. we should be cautious at all times. do not give any details such as bank account and contact numbers.
thanks

Because there is turmoil in this country and persons are sympathetic towards what is going on they think that it is right to go around doing this. If she is the wife why don't her go to the International leaders they will be happy to assist.

Well, over the course of being a member here in myLot I have gotten at least one SCAM letter like this in a message, and many many many in my Email like this over time as well. The problem is there are people out there who fall for these, and will try things and be scammed as well. I have a friend who is also a member here who was Scammed via a Chat room as well, so you never know who will hit you from where. That is why I watch what information I give to anyone anymore and am best off for doing so. Personally, I wish there was a way we could STOP these type of people and SCAMS but I guess there is no real way as well except for continuing to get the word out as well.
