Only time will tell...

How many of you still wear a watch to tell the time? As technology increases, I have noticed that many people rely more on their cell phones, pds, or computers rather than watches when they want to know the time. How many of you still wear watches? If you wear one do you do it simply as a fasion statement, or do you still use it to tell the time? Do you think that there will be a day when we no longer wear watches to inform us of the time?

I do still wear a watch. I feel naked without and no it's not a fashion statement although I know what you mean. People are relying more on cellphones and such. There may be a time when we don't wear watches but I don't think it will be in our time.

This is a very good observation. I thought about this the other day when I forgot my phone at home. I didn't realize how much I depended on my phone for other uses besides making and receiving phone calls. I don't remember the last time I wore a watch. The funny thing is I don't feel lost without a watch but I do without a phone even if I don't use it to make a phone call. I think there are some people who are old school and no matter how time changes will not conform to society. Yes I do believe there will come a time when watches will not necessarily be a thinkg of the past but they will continue to be popular for fashion purposes. In my opinion they will become like VCR's. Some people still have them but not every one uses them.

Oh I feel naked without my watch, it is one of the first things I put on, I don't even think about looking at my mobile phone to check the time, I don't think I could get used to not wearing a watch.
