What time is it?

I know this might sound like a weird question.
Or, maybe one of those stupid Coke vs. Pepsi surveys
that the newbies are so fond of posting, but I'm being
for real.
Just now, I sat down at my computer and checked out
my computer clock for the time and it says that it's
5:42 PM. Pretty sure that's not the right time.
I think it's closer to 8 PM.
I ordered pizza at 6:30 and that was well over an hour ago,
so it couldn't be 5:42 PM.
What the heck is going on with my computer?
I let my kid watch some You tube videos for awhile, maybe
You tube changed my computer settings.
Good thing I wasn't going anywhere important tonight or I'd
have been way late.
Anyway, do you ever arrive late for appointments cause your clock
was wrong?

rarely.there's so many things in my house with clocks on them i can easily check from room to room.it's usually the bus that makes me late because his clock is wrong.

Perhaps you could buy the bus driver a nice
watch for Christmas. Something digital that
keeps good time no matter what.
There are some really affordable ones available
at Walmart and General Dollar stores. Not fancy, but
very practical.

I'm sure your employer didn't complain too much!
Better early than late.

My sisters clock on her computer has been slowly losing time for months now. Last time I was there it was like 4 hours off. I know when she first noticed it was when she was late for a conference call she was supposed to call into. She got reamed for that one.

While I was changing my clock
to the right time, I found out the problem.
My computer had synchronized to "internet time"
via the microsoft website and put my clock behind
by a few hours. I guess Microsoft is not
in the same time zone as mine.

I should have just checked my cell phone clock,
but it was in the kitchen and I am in the back room
with the computers.
I have no clue why my computer clock would
be resetting itself.
Awhile ago, it showed the correct time, but
not anymore.

lol...nope....but a few days back, my husband changed the batteries in our phone and didn't know he had to re-set the time. So, it ended up being a few hours ahead. We didn't have any appointments that day but we wouldn't have been late even if we did because we both usually check the time on our watches (and not the telephone or clocks at home) and we make sure those always show the right time.
