Which do you think makes a better K9 dog?

My father and I have been wonder wether a German Sheperd or a Doberman would make
a better K9 dog..
We recently bought a papered full blood German Sheperd puppy, we looked on some search engines about German Sheperds, small things like their very good with kids,they are very protective of their owners.
But, I would still like to know which one in your opinion would be better as a K9 police force dog.
Even if the Doberman is better, I'd never get rid of my beloved puppy.

yea thats a little what I was thinking, they look alot stronger, but I think German Sheperds look so beautiful when they sit with their ears up straight :P

I have had germand shepherds, I consider them great dogs, with the ones i had, i never had a doberman. Right now i have a shepherd/husky mix, i got his from the spca. His name is Thunder, he is 9 months old now, and he is a great dog.
