hi,guys! most of us are adults now and never come back to a little kid again. childhood is very valueable time in the whole life because we all have a dream. we can dream of becoming one type of person or doing a great thing etc. in the future...For me, i had ever dreamed of becoming a soccer star. the dream came to my mind when i first watched the FIFA World Cup and adored Diego Maradona very much..At that time, i was about 8 years old and hold a pure dream just like many young children..i still remember the days when i pratised playing football with my brother by the Yangtze River as soon as school was over. that dream seems to be ridiculous in my opinion nowadays. so guys what do u like to be when u were a little kid? have u realised your dream? or why did u give up your dream?

Back when i was a kid i liked to be a scientist. I don't know but my family especially my grandfather seemed to be supportive about it. Telling me that he'll put up a laboratory for me lol! Of course being a scientist is easier said than done but i was just a kid, we sometimes have outrageous ambitions in life. I even thought of becoming a fireman though i was very thin when i was a kid. I gave up my dream because for me personally, as a grown up, i think being a scientist is pretty boring.

hi, that sounds similar to my country China..we are taught to show respects to scientists..but more people are willing to be merchants or bussinessmen rather than scientist..

hmm.. i think pretty much of us used to be a scientist, a lot of my friend too.. maybe something wrong with the education system (at least in my country maybe) ? because when we are children we encouraged to love science but the reality, science isn't that interesting.. i mean, why they encouraging us to something that will not get any attention from the society.. in my country, people easily get rich by being an entertainer. but scientist living a life like in ignored community..

When i was a kid and in school we had a poem by Sir John Masefield called "Sea Fever".You can get it on the internet. It is a poem about a sailor`s longing to be out in the open sea and me and my close friend were terribly moved by it. Then and there both of us decided to become sailors. We used to go to the docks and gaze at the big ships or when travelling by bus we would take the route that passed along the docks so we could see the ships. However this remained only a dream and as the years went by it faded away. Recently i came upon the same poem on the net and after reading it the same magic was reborn but there was no urge to become a sailor as my line was totally different. However i chanced upon a book of seafarer stories by Sir Arthur Conan-doyle which contains pirate stories and sea adventure stories. After reading it the same old excitement and nostalgia gripped me.

When I was a kid, I always thought of becoming a teacher when I grow up. I thought teacher is really a great job, a person who is respectful, well, perhaps when I was young, I really admire the teachers. It is not really a dream, when I grow older, I realize it's not that fun to be teachers, in fact, it's quite boring. The work is like quite repeatative, every day teaching the same subject, perhaps every year still teaching the same subject.

When I was a kid I always wanted to be an engineer. Not only me but all my family members wanted that. But due to some unavoidable circumstances, I could not become what I wanted to be.

Hello kunking! My dream is to become a teacher. I really idolized my teachers since I age 7. When I reached 17, I change my mind and dream to become a nurse. I was about to enroll BS nursing at the university when I suddenly change my mind and enroll as Bachelor of Elementary Education. So now, I graduated already and got a certificate to teach.

Actually what I wanted to do when I was a little kid, is the same as I still want to do. I kind of always knew it but I did have some other idea's in mind. Anywayys. I wanted to have some job in the Marketing field. I've always had the salesmen kind of personality so to speak, if that make's any sense. Not sure what inspired it, really. It's just how i've always been, I suppose! Bottomline. Running my own business is what's on my mind now, and all these internet money-making places opened my mind up to quite a many possibilities as to what kind of business I would like to run. Only wish I had the spare money to test some of the idea's out & see how well they go. Until thennn all I can do is start savinnng up!

In elementary, every year I would want to be a teacher of the grade I was in. 1st grade I wanted to be a 1st grade teacher, 2nd grade a 2nd grade teacher, and so on haha. Now, I really don't want to be a teacher, but if I had to I would be a highschool teacher. Again, the grade I was just in haha.

whats up guys,i could relate to what kunking is talking bout.My childhood dream was to become a professional baseball player like my dad.The furthest he ever made it was the minor leagues.i remember him talking of his good ole dayz playing ball, his friends were pretty insightful on his skills also.So when i became of age i started in peewee league playing for the lil braves, the team my father coached lol!Anyway i made it as far as senior league until a very serious injury oocurred and shattered my dreams of ever becoming a pro baseball player. So now at this present time im a enviromental specialist at a refinery hoping my son picks up where i left off.

Childhood years are one of those fantastic stage of a person's life. Aside from being the formative years, it's also in this state where dreams are so vivid and seems realistic. Like everybody, I dream of becoming many things when I grow up. When one time we had a health check up in school (elementary) I want to become a nurse; I was so attracted w/ their all-white uniforms and they looked so neat w/ it. But when I was in my fifth grade am so fond of standing in front in the class and likes to talk a lot; I want to become a teacher. In my junior years in high school I decided to take Journalism in college when I noticed I had some passion for writing. I became a social worker and none of those dreams came true to me; I am not neither of those. I just don't know why but time changes, so as dreams.

Hi Kunking, my childhood ambitions were merely dreams. I had wanted to be a ballerina, teacher, doctor or a nurse. I never regret that I didn't become any of these. I'm very happy with what I am today - I don't think I would be, if I had realised any of my childhood ambitions.

When I was a child, I just wanted to grow up quicker. Now I am an adult. But it seems not very happy. And now I have to work hard to be the one I want to be. I feel a little lonely and tired. Keep on pushing myself, it's not easy.

Well, when I was a little girl, I am too naive that I thought a college student is a kind of job. So when other children wanted to be a teacher or astronaut, I wanted to be a college student. Luckily, I make my dream come true:)
