Do you ever get the feeling like the future is now?

Every now and then I find myself in a situation where I feel like we are already exhibiting the qualities of the future that we imagine in our heads. The last time this happened was on the subway. The subway is this underground system that propels us through tunnels in these pods to reach our destinations in a quick and efficient manner. I felt like I was a part of the future. Does anyone else ever get these sensations? What about our world reminds you of the future we imagine?

There is one aspect of the modern world which I feel completely epitomizes(what I would imagine to be) the zeitgeist of a futuristic existence; it's a little something I like to call 'walking'. It is also a mechanism of propulsion, but differs a bit from this thing you call 'the subway'. I'm not going to bother to explain myself...I'll just let that thought stew.
LIVE LONG AND PROSPER~
