I was watching television a few minutes ago then saw lots of advertisements about medicines, herbal mostly with the tag "No Therapeutic Claim". I have a dilemma about the safety of these medicines. Can someone enlighten me about this?

actually this herbal things are not really medicines, they're only supplements that prevents us from any kind of ailment or sickness. but if you are diagnosed with sickness already it doesn't cure the sickness itself, the prescribed medicines should be taken. that's why the have this tag says "no therapeutic claim".

The problem with these companies who produces these herbal things is that, they keep making tv commercials which kind of tells the viewers or buying public thay they can manage to cure things like psoriasis or anything that's serious. I think it should be stopped because it gives wrongs information.

i always see these on labels of most herbal medicines and that sure means that they are not claiming anything, they are supplements, to help you with whatever ailments. i believe though they are there to sort of help you stay away from problems and not exactly cure any of the ailments you have. of course since they are herbal.. i sure think they are not as bad... they are just plain herbal, made from no chemicals. =)

I am too confused with it yet as I was reading a forum and I agreed to it. "No Approve Therapeutic Claims" is a label for the reason a.) it is not based in a conventional WESTERN medicines which has a specific target. Though if you'll observe there are medicines which are claimed to be helpful but it is labeled still it's because b.) of marketing strategy to have a lobbyist influencing health-related issues....c.) some are labeled because they aren't considered synthetic medicines they are food supplement.

I do not believe in those medicines with no therapeutic claims and so the question of taking them does not arise at all.
