up until yesterday afternoon, i was all set in spending christmas with my family. we had it all planned, the program, the food, the party, the videoke... i had wrapped more than a hundred various gifts for friends and family, as well as the gifts of my sister to her friends and our family.
but last night, in the midst of preparing for my sister's 15th wedding anniversary... my sister and brother-in-law had a fall out and now... they are now separated, or more bluntly, my sister ordered her husband to get out of the house after finding out he had another woman. this has not only affected my sister but the whole family as well.
aside from that, since the christmas celebration's venue is her place, the party has now been off. my sister doesn't like to face other people and she left me to deal with all the family members, the cancellation of the anniversary party with all the food given away, the construction workers, to talk to the lawyers and possibly to work out on a TRO for her husband.
so what was supposedly a nice christmas celebration has turned sour for me. if my sister will be going off out of town or out of the country to avoid christmas, the family and everything else altogether... i will be going with her. i just couldn't let her be alone at this time. and my brothers and sisters were all in agreement with me, even our parents and my boyfriend.
i guess christmas with other loved ones will be a bit delayed for me.

it is. and i do apologise. i didn't stop to think what i was writing when i responded to your discussion. i just got online then and responded to a couple of discussions in mylot and i guess, the question in your discussion kinda triggered something about my situation in the middle of a family crisis. sorry if i sounded like i vented out my feelings. coz you see, i'm in-charge of the family celebrations, decorations, food, games, programs, budget, gifts, and communications with my family and our friends living in different cities... so because of the turn of events... i was kinda at a loss for a while... and so much to do all of a sudden... with all the preparations and time and effort put into it... and then nothing.
i guess, i just have to make the best out of this. whatever and wherever that is.
have fun with your christmas celebrations, wish you the best. :)

Last Christmas we went to our village home to visit family, my 8 year old son did not like it. He has made me promise him that we will go to a hotel for Chrsitmas, i am thinking of a nice little town about 260km from home. Hope we can make it there - i have not booked yet but i think we can still fing place. there are many good hotels there. His expectation is based on the "suite life of Zack and Cordy" we may not live up to that expectation but i believe it will still be fun for him..
