How often do you use images in your blog posts?

A lot people say that they like to use images in their posts because it adds value to the content. Do you think that is true? I think that sometimes an image in the top of a post and also positioned to the right, allowing the text flow on the right is very eye catchy.
On my personal blog, I tend to include small image or picture that will compliment the content. When I use an image on the top of my post, I often try to choose an image that gives a visual explanation of the post that people are about to read.
Do you use images in your blog posts? If so, then how often and how many do you use per post? Do float images to the right, or float images to the left? Perhaps you just keep the image centered?

I think it's good to use images; it adds visual interest and breaks up the type. The problem is how to find images that go along with the content of my posts. One place I've heard you can find many images is Wikipedia, where you you are allowed to use images as long as you give credit to the photographer.

I try to insert at least one image on my post in my blog. Of course it adds value to our content as it is easier to look at pictures rather than reading text. Put an interesting picture and your readers will stick to your blog as though they are being applied with Superglue.
Images also make our site easier to get higher position in a search engine. Just remember to insert keyword alt text for your images.
