is internet really useful?

yes i think that the internet is something that's been a very valuable tool for these time of age. everything and anything under the sun can be found on the world wide web. but for some the internet is as destructive as a mass of nuclear weapon especially when hackers tries to infiltrate various data and information.

The internet is useful because: -you can communicate easily and quickly with people -make money through it -access information for free -not have to buy things like dictionaries or encyclopedias -access the news, even stuff the major stations don't cover -spread your ideas -become aware of other people's ideas -but stuff for cheap -get stuff for free (coupons, things on freecycle or craigslist) -sell stuff on ebay or craigslist -find new music -get maps to where you need to go -talk for free to people around the world with skype and that is only a few of the many things you can do. Just because there are negative aspects to something, that doesn't mean it's not useful. If that were the case, the only useful thing would be God Himself.

As with everything else in this world, the Internet is useful in many ways and in many ways it can also be destructive. It is about balance. The Internet can be a great resource in terms of information and knowledge being at my fingertips. I do not have to go to a library to search for information anymore, I simply hit a few keystrokes on my computer keyboard. Of course, the drawback is there may be a lot of false information as well. The key is to think critically about what one reads on the Internet, and to evaluate for ourselves if what we are reading makes sense. Secondly, the Internet can be a valuable tool for networking and business. Now, it is not necessary to travel halfway across the globe to have a business meeting. We can do this with our computers, a web cam and an Internet connection. The Internet can be as valuable learning tool to our children as well. As long as they have proper supervision. Again, as with anything else in life, if children are left unattended or unsupervised they can get themselves into a lot of trouble. So in conclusion yes, there is a lot of negative influences on the Internet but in this case I certainly believe the good far outweighs the bad. If you are surfing the net and you come across disturbing content we all have the option of reporting it or the very least closing the window and choosing not to look. Happy Mylotting!
