Head cold remedies

I need a quick fix for a head cold? Does anyone have any suggestions? I take supplements and they are very good ones but this must be a very virulent strain of cold. Either that or it's the flu as I don't have a lot of energy. I am supposed to work my part time job this afternoon. I only work three days a week so I don't really want to miss the hours, but it looks as if I might have to as I feel very ill.
