Yes my friend the pair is definitely one amazing. Both are at present cricketers. They have a left and right combination which is a game pinned to the fast bowlers because they have to always adjust the line whenever the strike changes. These two players are very good understanding between them and which helps in quick running. Both are very good runners and they steal very quick singles which are sometimes very frustrating for the fast bowlers or rather even the spin bowlers. But the main thing is that when you take quick singles not only does it keep the scoreboard ticking but it also adds extra pressure to the feeding team. And on the other hand you are released from the pressure. And being aggressive they scored boundaries at regular intervals whenever they get bad balls will stop all in all they are very consistently doing well for the Indian team. And then there is a special occasion like in the last match viru or gautam can be really devastating and that will be a spectacular to watch for everyone.

Agreed , they are both doing a fantastic job for India at the moment. Both are unorthodox and are crowd pullers too. What more? they are doing good in all forms of cricket. But they still have a long way to go. The best opening pair i remember is of Gordon Greenidge & Desmond haynes. Shewag & Gambir are not yet in that league but are surely reaching there.

yes they definately are the worlds best opening combination in tests as well as ODI's not only they give a start they put the opposition on the back foot straight away with there aggressive intent and running between wickets they both really rock and if they continue they surely would be the best opening combination world has ever seen
