In my country, cricketers are treated like demigods. Their posters are hung in bedrooms . They are flocked at in public places & the best part is that they are in one of the highest paying profession of the country.
Did ever dream of a being a cricketer or any other famous sportsman/sportswoman?

In my schooldays I was very much fascinated cricket. The cricketers were hero for me. I always dreamed of becoming a cricketer. But there was not enough chance for playing cricket in our place. So the dream was not materialized. Now a days i don't have that kind of feelings about cricket.

Well, when I was a kid I use to dream of becoming a cricketer. But I think its common among every cricket lovers in little ages. But, day by day, when I started to grew up, I started focusing on my professional career. I thought it will be very difficult to become a cricketer in this competitive world, considering the fact that I was only an average player. But surely I had dreams like that. But later I concentrated on my course and proceeded with my career.

I used to play cricket in school and college and had dreamt too,but didnt take it seriously and neither was that good enough to be there. Was more curious with academics. Also many cricketers used to play just to get a decent job by representing the state in Ranji Trophy and after that they would stop.I used to see that so wasnt motivated enough.

Actually yes sri,
I had played district levels when I was young, but one major bad thing within many of us is: We seldom pursue our true inner dreams because of financial pressures and needs of the current world !!!
And regarding being the highest paid profession, only the guys who make it to the TOP are highly paid mate!!!
I have a few HIGHLY TALENTED fellow Players who struggle to earn a PROPER livelihood because they have not made it to the TOP !!!
But when I look back, I was never hard pressed to earn as much as some of my unlucky fellow cricketers.....
I should probably have pursued my TRUE DREAM !!!
