so now I have the opportunity to be in here posting in myLot. This is an unusual thing here for us as we live in Seattle and usually do not see this much Snow ever. My husband tried to take me to work, but about 5 mins. from here the roads were getting bad and traffic was getting backed up all over the place. And it is continuing to Snow and such outside so it is adding up.
So I guess I will have to be stranded at home maybe with No pay for a couple of days if this keeps up. Seattle area is so hilly everywhere you just do not try to go anywhere even most of the time when it snows. So I guess I will have lots of time to be here in myLot, check Email and play the Sims.
So do you have Snow where you live, and does it ever Stop you from being able to go to work?

Well, it is almost all melted finally here. Since yesterday it has been a lot warmer here and raining so now even if it is in the 40s only you hear no one complaining. Hope you're keeping warm and having a Great Holiday season there as well.

I live in Oregon in the Willamette Valley and we got snow the other day but it got warm an melted away, now tonight it's supposed to snow again and we should be getting about an inch of it but like they say never trust a weather man lol. We probably won't be getting a lot of snow but we will get ice.

I live in Philippines and it is a tropical country located in south east asia. We only have two seasons here and no winter so no snows. I have seen snow only in movies and in pictures. Actually I also wish to experience having snow or touching it. I hope I can visit some places with snows.
Well, I wish that you can go back to work and there will be less snow in the next days. As of now, enjoy posting here in mylot. And Merry Chirstmas to you and a Happy New Year!

I live in New Jersey, and we have a storm watch for tomorrow. It is supposed to start around seven tomorrow morning and continue all day. I am not working now, I go laid off, but when I was working, I did not work too far from where I lived, so it was not that bad getting to work. Before that job, if the weather was bad, I would take public transportation rather than drive. There was one time though that I took three days off of work because of the snow. We had like eight feet, and the whole state was closed, except for emergency vehicles, so I couldn't go to work even if I wanted to.
Enjoy your snow days

Don't you just hate when nature disables you from doing what you want? Work is very much needed in this life so anything that disables us from going to work is bad.
We have been very fortunate in my area. Thankfully, anytime it snows, we only get like an inch and it melts before it can do real damage.
You know, the real problem is ice. Especially black ice. The kind of ice you can't even imagine being there. It's one of the biggest killers.

Yes we have snow here in montreal, and sometimes the roads are two bad but that cripples the city and the city tries to keep the streets and clean from snow as they can.

Hello!
That's the Christmas gift for you. You will not have to work, perhaps until Christmas. I do not know if this is good or bad, seeing as you will get no payment. However, at least you will be able to relax at home and take your days off.
Here in Brazil we do not have snow. I have never seen snow in my life. I want to know what is it like and be able to go skiing someday, before I die. It must be troublesome for you that are already used to it, but I'm sure that I can a lot of fun with it.
Respectfully,
Munhozmib.

I live in the Chicago area, and we get snow often! In fact, it is predicted that we are going to get 7"-12" of snow tonight. Its alot of snow, but much better than the 3/4" of ice that was originally predicted! I am lucky that my bosses put safety first, and if the roads are bad I either take the day off or work from home.

I was under the impression that Seattle had a lot of snow.. oh well, so much for what I know! I live at the opposite end, (Miami, Florida) and right now its 83 degrees and the "cold front" arriving next week is expected to hit us with a whopping 73 degrees! I've never had a "snow day" so let me know if its as fun as you think its gonna be. Enjoy and stay warm.

What's snow?
Actually I flew from Sacramento to LA yesterday and there was a beautiful blanket of snow on the mountains all the way down. But not here in the valley though I could go not to far down the road to find some!

Yeah I can relate to that one for last friday we had an ice storm and I was at work when it started and my boss kept saying "oh it'll be ok the power won't go out" well and behold 3 hrs into the work shift everything went black and we lost power . What does my crazy boss have us do but sit in the hallway with flash lights and con't working sorting parts omg what a nut she is. We ended up staying the full shift til 7:30am and we got paid for it so that was cool. We get alot of snow here in New Hampshire so we are used to it and things don't close down just the school's that's about it. We are expected to get a good snow storm tomorrow (Friday) 6 to 12 inches. I hope you don't miss to much work for when you can't get paid it does tend to hurt a little.

I live in Winnipeg and it snows here all winter, and blizzards as well. So no matter what, we have to go to work. I used to live in the greater Metropolitan area and when it snowed, it was a wet snow and very slippery so we could get the day off, and the schools would close, but darn it! I live on the Prairies and because of this dry snow, everyone who works does not get a day off. And those fuel bills are murder!

I think it must be good to stay in a snow laden area, the scenery must be beautiful and just seeing the snow falling gives out good feeling. I wish I can experience the beauty of nature in my place and to experience snowing like where you stay but unfortunately we only experience the rain and the hot sun here and most of the time I have to keep indoors as it is real hot outside. the only thing that prevents us from going outside is the flood, the water can come up to waist high. Vehicles get stuck on the road and in worse areas the undercurrent can sweep the car away. But this only happens during monsoon season.

I don't live near the hills and I wish I lived in an high elevation area because over here we never get snow, just rain and more rain around winter.
