It is intriguing that the dreaded Alzheimer's Disease is frequently linked to the use of aluminum cookware. Basically, in this world, there is aluminum wherever you go, even in the food we eat. Why not, it is considered as the Earth's 3rd most abundant element. However, the dosage is not that big so it does not pose any real threat. When it comes to the disease, Alzheimer's is triggered by a lot of factors, not only by the intake of large doses of aluminum and you can reduce your chances of getting it by regular exercise, avoiding aluminum and mercury, eating nutritious meals consisting of grains, vegetables and sugar as well as continuous mental stimulation. Thus, for those curious what excessive absorption of aluminum can do to the body.. it can cause renal failure, progressive dementia, anemia, bone disease and neurological impairments. So, would you still go for aluminum cookware?

I guess we can get any sort of illnesses from what we put in our bodies, I have heard aluminum can do this as i have just started cooking on iron as I have heard you can pick up some actual iron for your body which is good as I am a bit low in the iron as i don't eat meat...

Yes, that is true. If you are deficient in iron and you are anemic, it is good to use iron cookware, especially if you use it to cook food with soup.
