do they try to feed you all the time? as soon as we got to my mom's she was seeing if we were hungry. lol she has baked brownies, a pie, a ham, and a fudge cake! and my daughter and i have been walking 2 miles and riding stationary bike to try to keep from putting on weight while we're here.
does your mom, or dad, do this when you go to visit?

Being from Louisiana any house you go to they try to feed you, most get up early and have a meal prepared by noon then whoever comes in can eat. We are now in Ohio and it isn't done that way here, you go to visit and no one ask you if you want anything to eat, so I guess it is a southern thing. I know down there you can put on a lot of weight just through the holidays. There is always a big meal cooked at whoever's house you go to.

When I would go visit my dad he was the same way, always wanting to make sure I had plenty to eat. Of course back then I was skinny.
My mother was always that way also even when she moved in with us she always made sure that we always had something good to eat or snack on.
When she was married to my step father and my brother and his family and me and my family would go for Thanksgiving she had bought huge plates for the guys. I wish I knew what she did with them.
I think it is just a parent thing. I am not one who likes to cook or bake but when my youngest is here I always want to make sure that we have plenty of good eats around that she and my grandson like.
Tell you mom and dad I said Merry Christmas and I wish the them Happiest New Year ever. If you get any pictures of them during your stay there please send me some via email or post them on your myspace.

My mom is a bit of a health nut. So more often than not she tries to convert a few of my eating habits. Which by the way are not that bad. She is just better at the whole health food thing.

I hear you! It doesn't have to be a holiday for my mom! LOL Everytime I stop in to check on her and dad she has to offer me something to eat! And the funny thing is she wouldn't weight 100 pounds if you soaked her overnight! LOL
Just her way of showing she cares I guess.
Me and some friends went shopping on Black Friday and she called me on the cell phone at 10 o'clock in the morning telling all of us to come by afterwards and eat dinner! LOL We did too! ROFL
I'm just glad she is a good cook. There is no way you could choke down that much stuff if she wasn't!
Have a great Chistmas!

my mom does it all the time. I work in another province and go home every other week or so. When I'm home, she tries her best to cancel all appointments and she just keeps on cooking food for me and buying fruits that she knows I like. I love the attention! And when I go back to the city, I make sure I get some exercise :D
Thanks for the comment on my discussion :D
