What should I prepare for my 90 years old mother?

The year is coming to an end. I feel relieved my 90 years old mother has smoothly gone through the year, healthy and happy. To celebrate her good shape, I am thinking about something special for her for the coming holiday.
For my grandson, it is much easier, to fill in the toy list should be OK, with a couple of DVDs as extra supprisings.
Your suggestions are appricated.

If she has a hobby I would get her something to go with her hobby. It will give her something to occupy her time with. If she doesn't have a hobby, what about a nice piece of jewelry? A pretty necklace or ring would be nice and you can even have it engraved for her. and at the dinner maybe make her favorite casserole or side dish.... or her favorite dessert. just something to let her know that she is special.
