If you celebrate...

If you celebrate the holidays, are you finished Christmas shopping, or do you always seem to procrastinate like me? I always SAY that I will start shopping earlier next year for Christmas, but it NEVER happens!! I always end up finishing on time (for the most part LOL) but it's a scramble to the finish! How about you? Also, do you have a tree up? Do you decorate the outside of your home? My boyfriend enjoys doing this much more than I do, so I leave that mostly up to him!

I have a few more things to buy for my husband. We do have all our decorations up already. We don't put that much up though.I am glad we got the done this year before he had to leave for storm duty!

Is all of your Christmas shopping done? That is what the discussion was mainly about!

In a week's time it will all be over, amazing isn't it, all the preparation, cost, time involved and the stress and hassle we put ourselves through just for two days, I really do think it's all about commercialization, the true meaning of Christmas has been lost in favour of the dollar signs! I am not a Christmas person to be honest, it's just the three of us, so quiet, I have bought all my presents, but I buy them throughout the year so I don't get caught up in the Christmas rush, I am more looking forward to 2009 and the start of a brand new year which I feel will be far more exciting for me than Christmas! Have a good one my friend!

I did better this year than I usually do. Usually I have to buy myself quite a few things first to get myself in the mood. But I'm not finished. We do have a tree up but we haven't decorated it (kittens climbing it). We'll probably just put up a few unbreakable ornaments. Outside is decorated though (husband's job).

I'm one of those lucky people who have gotten into the habit of finishing early. But then every year I find myself out shopping on Christmas eve anyway and it ticks me off! I have either forgotten the batteries that go with something, don't have enough scotch tape or Christmas wrap, or I forgot to get the eggnog. WOW!! Thanks for the discussion! I'm going to go make my "I don't want to shop Christmas Eve" list right now!

Usually I would procrastinate and not get all of my holiday shopping done until a week before Christmas or so, BUT this year I did better. I was quite proud of myself that in the first week of December I managed to have all of my Christmas shopping done :) We put up a tree every year, and we all did that together! My hubby, daughter and I all enjoy decorating for the holidays! Merry Christmas, PurpleTeddyBear

We always have to get done early. We travel a lot so we never know if we're going to be close to home for the holidays. Plus, we have a birthday for our daughter on the 16th of December and our anniversary is on the 19th. If we waited until the last minute somebody would suffer and it won't be those two dates. Our tree is up and lit, since we live in an apt this time we didn't do anything outside. My wife is the Christmas queen, I just count the days down until I have to pack it all up again.

I procrastinate too. I don't usually have the money until the last minute. Last year I was shopping on Christmas Eve when a mean lady told me to get out because the store was closing. And, yes, I always say I'll do it sooner but never do.
