my testimony

Let me share a testimony with you. I had been a Christian most of my life until I realized what the real face of religion looks like. I, like most people was a Christian not because I knew it was the truth, but because it was all I had ever known. Christianity is the dominant religion for the country that I live in. That plays a big reason why most people in my country become Christians. But if you lived in Iraq, the same people who are Christians would be Muslims because that is the dominant religion for that country. If in China then Buddhist for the same reasons. Most people are what their parents are when it comes to religion. Have you ever taken the time out to ask yourself: "What religion is God?" Is God a Baptist? Is He a Jehovah's Witness? Is He a Buddhist? Is He a Christian? Is He Muslim? The truth is God is either one of two things. He is either all of those religions, or He is none of them at all. Which one would you say He is? As you ponder that keep in mind He can not be all of them because the soul purpose of a religion is to separate itself from all the others. So to claim to be one would mean you deny all the others. I am at a point in my life where I realize there is a difference between being religious and being spiritual. You can not be both because the two don't mix. They are as different as water and oil. Religion comes from man. Spirituality comes from God. I am no longer a Christian because I had to kill my religion in order to give birth to my spirituality. I want nothing to do with religion because I have seen the effects of religion. It has torn this world apart. If religion was everything that it supposedly is cracked up to be, this world would look a lot different. We would have a lot more love and unity amongst ourselves. We are all seeds scattered throughout the earth. Before a seed can become something beautiful it has to shed its former self. We too have to shed our former selves and way of thinking in order to become something beautiful. Only then will we become the best version of who we are. 1L J

That is quite a testimony. I do agree that we must shed who we were to be the best we can be. I believe this is what God wants us to do. He has given us free will to decide. I choose His way. I agree with you. As to what religion is God? I believe He is the Way, the Truth and the Light.
