"Letting a friend make a mistake is better than saying or doing something that may destroy the friendship?" The topic is made by ETS in TOEFL,I am not from the USA, so I don't know what is your native attitude, let's talk about it.

Personally I would rather someone correct me, but not like they are talking down to me.... Simply say I don't think that you are doing the right thing and here's why..... then I would want them to list at least one reason why I'm not doing the right thing. This varies from person to person, I'm sure. Some people can only learn by doing something on their own and won't take advice from anybody. I would think going about it this way would not harm the friendship if you do it respectfully and professionally and not harshly and rudely.
