Do you often use ATM?

I don't often keep a lot of cash in my hand as it's not very safe. The ATM is quite common everywhere and it's easy to find one. So I prefer to withdraw money from ATM when I need the cash. So I use it quite often.

I usually would deposit the cheques I receive for my part time work every month, as well as the cheques I receive from the interest paid for some of the stock investments, using the ATM machine. Yeah, I agree with you, youless, it’s really not safe to keep too much cash at home, so I do the same thing as you, to take out the amount of money I need only from the nearest ATM machine all the time. It’s very much convenient and save time as well to use such advance machines which are available in every shopping mall, busy streets and places with dense population. I like to use it all the time, for I don’t have to consume extra time to queue up in the bank, just for banking in a single cheque into my saving account there. posting and merry Christmas!

This seems that checks are not so popular in your place. Anyway we always feel happy to receive checks for we can cash it in bank or via ATM. It’s nice to know that you are rewarded with checks for your survey effort put in from your said website.

There are three types of ATM machine in my place currently. Other than the two I have mention before, there is another one which we can use it to pay and to clear all kinds of bills like credit card, water and electricity bills, car and housing installment payment and etc. It is quite convenient as we can pay by anytime we wish and don’t have to queue up at any department counter concerned. Btw thank for marking mine as the best response. Have a good day and bye ...

Here ATM can't deal with checks yet. And I personally seldom get a check before. I only received checks twice from a survey website

In my case, I don't use ATM because I don't have an ATM card and I don't have the plan of having one. That is because right after receiving my salary I just invest it right away. Happy MyLotting!

There is an ATM machine in the company. Therefore, it's very convenient for the employee to withdraw cash even during working hour. Besides, it's very safe too within the company strictly controlled compound. If we withdraw our cash outside the bank, it's quite risky This is because there might be muggers that are targeting those who had withdrawn their cash. I have read in the news, several incidents had happened to people who went to get their cash at night. Some are even forced to surrender their card and PIN number so that the robbers can withdraw more. I usually withdraw in the company and dare not keep too much cash in hand.

I also have heard the news about being robbed to use ATM alone at night. So I only withdraw money in daytime and I also keep alert around.

That's the correct way, I had advised my friends to avoid withdrawing money alone or during night time. We should safe guard our hard earned money from being robbed away. But if it happens that we face the unfortunate encounter, we should prioritize our life than money. I have people got hurt or killed by resisting the robbers request. As long as we are alive, we could able to earn our money back.

Actually, I rarely use the ATM. I receive cash for a lot of things, so I am usually depositing money into the bank more often than I am taking it out. I do, however, use the ATM to deposit checks that I receive from time to time. Sometimes it is frequent, sometimes it is less often than once a month. I do a lot of transferring money online as well. I like to put the money in savings so that it is at least earning a little bit of interest (with today's interest rates), until I get ready to pay my bills. Then I will transfer the money back to checking. By the way, what an awesome number beside your screen name....14376....that is huge!!!

I love using the ATM. When I was little my mother would take out money from the ATM when grocery shopping and I would be standing next to her and be so fascinated by this machine that could split out money. Now I finally have my own card and I can't get enough of the ATM machine.

I am not using it regularly. I have kept some of my money in savings and taking it out. Well many of my friends are always ATM to get money at any point of time. Even my sister is using ATM to get money from her account. Whenever I want any money I am taking it from my Father. Most important thing is that my bank is just beside my house so I don't have ot find any ATM.

I also like to use my ATM and debit cards especially for shopping. I don't like to carry loads of cash as its not also safe. I think I withdraw money 3-5 times a month but there are some banks that put charges on your account if you withdraw more than their withdraw limit.

no, I do not use the ATM machines at all - I do not even own an atm card and have not since we moved from my home state 13 years ago now. I agree that it would be a convenient device.

I do use the ATM machine. That way I can get money when I need to. In some areas it is very easy to find an ATM machine but a few times I have walked around a lot trying to find out. In my local paper this week there was a sad story about a disabled man getting money from an ATM in town. A criminal knocked him over and stole all his money that he had just withdrawn. That was terrible and upsetting news. When I am traveling I look around and make sure I am safe before using an ATM machine. In Kenya the streets has some people carrying wooden bats so I felt nervous but was fine using the ATM machine. In South Africa I had the idea it would be safer to use an ATM in a shop. However I got an advice slip but no money. It said I had withdrawn 2,000 Rand. A shop assistant kindly took me over to the bank and even though the bank had just closed it opened up for me. I will never forget how kindly the people treated me and sorted out the ATM machine incident.

May be once in ten days or so.. But before the salary is due for the month the " list for spending" in the name of essentials articles are ready.. and therefore once the salary is credited in the bank accounts.... most of my friends withdraw entire sum in a single day.. and the bank balance remain in the minimum one.. spend the entire amount on the next day.. wait for the next month salary .. with the fingers crossed. Take care friend and have a good day.

It is a time of plastic money. I also don't put money at home as it is not safe and ATMs are best option for that. Even before also we used to keep our money with banks but at that time it was very difficult withdrawing from banks and it used to take 15 - 30 minutes for getting our money in our hands but thanks to ATM that we dot' have to wait that longer!

Yes, I do use an ATM often. Our payroll is credited directly to our ATM accounts so that's by default, haha. But I also have my own ATM. It's very convenient and handy. :)

I very rarely use an ATM. If I need cash, I will use my debit card in a store and get cash back. If I don't need cash back, I generally use my debit card as a credit card because of a rewards program from the bank. I don't really trust ATMs, particularly if I'm alone. There have been too many stories of people getting robbed at them.

Though the ATM is very common and can bring you convenience, I still use it not very often. Because in my country, using the ATM to withdraw money is not very safe in fact. Sometimes some criminals will rob your money or do some other things on the ATM so that your money will be withdrawed by them instead of you. In regard of this, I prefer to withdraw money in the bank instead of through ATM.

Perhaps it is similar. When you withdraw money and go out of the bank, the robber can still rob or steal your money.

hi,youless. it is ture that atm has entered our financial life and even played an important part of it by virtue of its convenience and security. i believe more and more people will turn to it instead of bank and will finally be accustomed to withdrawing cash from it since it is available everywhere and everytime. merry chirsmas and happy a new year, my friend.
