Given the choice, I would prefer to respond, instead of starting my own discussions. I find it easier to share my opinions and views on an issue with others. You see starting a new discussions is not a difficult job, either, however, if I do not find enough time to comment on the respones received, I really feel very bad. Therefore, I prefer to respond to the discussions started by others, when I do so, it is for the member to make comments on my response, which I eagerly await.

I often do responses than posting my own discussions. I just don't know what topic to start that's why I only do responses more often than posting my own discussions. But sometimes I can also post my own discussions it depends if I can come up with my own topic. Happy posting..

I love to do both but lately, apart from having very little time to spend on myLot, I am dried of new ideas or topics to start on myLot and therefore, I have been spending weeks responding to discussions and have not been starting any new one.
I just hope to try to start at least a few more before end of the month but still I do not have anything that come to my mind at the moment. So, instead of wasting time trying to figure out what to start, I directed all my effort with the little time that I have to respond to as many discussions as possible. I have been way behind my posting target this month and it looks like this month would be the first month for me to miss my target...
Anyway, the good thing is that I am still having lots of fun posting here on myLot and still pretty much addicted. Cheers!

I can say that I love doing both things. Starting a discussion is very suitable for me when I think that I have no time to spend so much on mylot. Sometimes I get so many responses and sometimes none at all. I am very much lucky if I get so many responses because it will just simply means that I will get more earnings even not spending my time so much on mylot. I admit that it is really hard to think of good topic to start. Well, what I just do is to think of questions which is not that hard to answer.
However, when I have a longer time, I prefer to respond on discussions here. Especially if I have no idea of what topics to start on mylot. Sometimes, giving response on discussions gives me idea of what topic to start. I not mean that I will copy their works. It just as if, my mind is getting idea while responding to their discussions. I can say that when you answered discussions here, it will make you think a lot. Of course, you will not post just for the sake of posting, but you must post something that can contribute to the discussions. Through that, I will not only help myself to earn more but the one who initiate the topic as well.
So I can say that it just depends on my mood and on my time weather I will start a discussion or just respond. Happy mylotting.

I also would rather to respond to questions because there's that feeling whenever you post something, "Will anyone respond to me?!"

What matters most, is we can make frenz in here, and be it i start more or respond more, i dun mind ^_^ AFter all, we cant do without each other.. haha

I think I like to do both. There are so many questions that pop in my head through out the day that I could never ask the people, who are around me. Somestimes I prefer the anonyminity of the Internet to ask my questions. There are so many people out there, you're bound to find someone willing to answer your question.
As far as to responding to questions, it's fun to be able to hand over your knowledge and information to other people, so they can make do with it. Spread the wealth - so to speak. No point in hording it to yourself.

It's already a habit of mine to check out some discussions as I opened mylot, if I find something interesting then I start responding to these discussions. Most of the time this is what I do but there are also a few instances that I'm in the mood to make my own discussions and post it on mylot. Whatever pops out of my head, I always wanted to put them on writing so I sort of have a plan already of what topics I'm going to start and discuss about it.

I usually start my day by thinking of an interesting discussions then posting them up. If ever nothing comes to mind then i proceed with responding to others interesting discussions. This way, something will just pop out of my mind then a new discussion is born. I also do try to go back to my responded discussions so i can follow up my responses. This way there will be a healthy conversation and gain lots of friends too! Basically, i do both.

I much prefer responding on discussion, especially those from my friends. I like giving my thoughts and sharing with other people.
While that happen, I also consider the effect to the discussion starter as in the fact, most of them are carving for responses. In other words, I love to help them in a way.
I will only start a discussion if I have a good idea. I am not going to start a lame discussion that for sure will get a lot of responses. That is my view.
Hope you enjoy in myLot.
:)
