Are there any people using Gentoo or Sabayon Linux?

I am a fun of linux.I have installed Ubuntu and some other distro of linux.However, in recent days,the most desirable thing for me is to install Gentoo-one of the LInux distro which requires s complicated method of operation but at the same time owns very advanced features.I really wanna have a experience on it.I burned a live cd but failed to install it on my desktop.I then heard of Sabayon, but I do not know much about it ,is anybody here using either of them?Can you give me some tips?

Gentoo has various stages in installation.
One of them is build your entire Linux distribution from scratch, i guess it is called as stage-3.
For all this one got to have a good internet connection because everything in downloaded and compiled from the source on the fly.
I am not a gentoo user from basically two reasons.
1) I dont have a high speed internet connection at home.
2) I dont want to spend hours compiling the software.
So i am still using binary based distributions like PclinuxOs and Linuxmint.

Thanks for your responding.There seems to be many people interested in Linux!I am also bored to compile everything.But I also wanna experience and learn from the compiling process.So I have tried to install it.But I love binary distros more such as Ubuntu and Fedora,I have not try PC linux OS yet,but I have heard it also a very fast-developing linux distro.

Linux is an operating system that gives us a lot benefits better than windows, windows tried to compete with linux but linux is still on its height. The one who formulated linux is Linus torvalds, and his friend tux. He combined tux and his name that is why it becomes Linux. i want to use one but it is different.
