Do you take a lot of medicine? Are you one of those people that take medicine for any little pain or uncomfort? Or do you only take medicine if it is absolutley neccessary? I hate taking medicine. I only take it when I have no other choice. I do not take tylenol when I have a headache. I just wait until whatever is bothering me passes. The only time that I really take medicine is when I am pregnant. First of all I take it for the first four months or so because with both of my pregnancies I was so sick that I couldnt keep anything down and I was getting severely dehydrated which is dangerous for me and the baby. So I had no other choice but to take medicines which would help me keep things down. Then when it is time to have the baby and i go into labor I have an epidural. I dont think I could make it without one. That is pretty much the only times in my adult life that I have taken medicine. I dont know why. I just do not like to take it.

I do not take medicines unless I have to, but I do take a lot of them for my asthma. I have to take inhalers, steroids, breathing tablets and nebulisers but without them I probably would not be here.
I hate taking painkillers and things unless I really need them. I had a few discs out last year and the pain was bad. The Doctor prescribed diazepam but I refused to take them. I got buy with Neurofen.
I have had four children and do not blame you for having an epidural. I was lucky and did not take anything but every ones labour is different.

I dont believe in taking medicine for each and every silly pain which happens rarely for us. If the pain or suffering is continuous and is unbearable, then we can resort to a medicine or a doctor. I dont prefer to take medicines for silly pains. i try to bear the pain as much as possible and if it is out of my hands then i have to take a medicine. God has given certain amount of immunity to bear pains without taking medicines.

i take meds only when necessary. i am not a big fan of pharmaceuticals. they have way too many side affects and we are a society that has a pill for every little ailment whether real or imagined. i try to find natural alternatives whenever possible but sometimes i just cannot avoid meds for my asthma for instance when it flares up. i do thank God for some meds though like antibiotics when really necessary or the epidural i had when i was in labor.

I avoid medicine, as much as I avoid going to the doctors. If I have a headache or migraine, I would opt for the easiest way - sleep. The only times when I had to take medicine was when I had 3 days of recurring fever that refused to subside; gastric/indigestion that kept me up during the night, or bad diarhoea.

nope im not, coz i dont like drinking a medicine. i will just take it if its very necessary n emergency. beside its not too good if we take a medicine everytime we feel unwell, pain or uncomfort. my first medicine would be sleeping =) thats the best medicine ever. if its not help, then i will take the medicine but in small dosis. i really dont like to go to the doctor neither drinking a medicine if its not quite necessary.
sleeping and relaxing is the best medicine ever =)

I hate taking medicine too, if I could medicate it through water therapy, I drink a lot of water and do a lot of rest.. Taking medicine always makes the body so dependent and I hate it.. I cant even chew capsule.

i don't taking medicine, when i have a headache, i just sleep on it. When i have a cold or the flu, i just try to get a lot of rest, drink a lot of fluids and eat fruits rich in vitamin C. I only take medicine when the doctor prescribes it or when i can't take it anymore.

I have to take Benedryl every night. They wanted me to take it every day but I have to be alert and it makes me a little sleepy. I was attacked by the no see ums. Which iI thought were a joke, but let me tell yoiu they are not. They are microscopic mites, I swear you feel the bites but even with a jewlers loop I couldn't see them.
With 2 disks missing in my lower back and since my legs were crushed when a vendor backed into me pinning me between her bumper and mine, I am in constant pain. I only take tylenol when the pain gets way out of control, and when I go to bed. The migraines I have had since I was 23 I take Excedrin Migraine for. I used to take perscription meds for the Migraines but it really upset my tummy so when I found Excedrin Migrains I was delighted that it didn't upset my stomach at all. I take alot of vitamines but then thats another discussion....LOL....

When I was working as a community organizer of a primary health care program in the urban poor communities in Davao City in the 1970s, we found out that out of every 100 sick persons, 90 persons would be healed without seeing a doctor. The sickness would be self-limiting, or the body itself would fight the disease. Of the 10 remaining, 7 needed only outpatient care. 3 would need to be confined to a hospital.
Now when I do not feel well, I presume at first that I belong to the aforementioned 90%. I just eat a lot, much, much more than my usual intake, fresh vegetables and fruits preponderant. If after 3 days I continue to feel bad and suffer cough, colds and fever, then and only then will I see a doctor.
To tell you the truth, I have been to a doctor only four times since the 1970s: 3 times for tooth extraction, once in the mid-90s for a diagnosis on diabetes. In any case, on diabetes, I made my own research and have since kept to a diet that prevents it. So far I have been successful, thank God.

No, I try to avoid taking-in medicals.
I used to drink a lot some time ago, but it was because I got sick very often: temperature, angina, flue, etc.
Then I refused to take medicals and go through all stages of sickness without any pill. And my imune system became stronger.
Now I haven`t taken any pills since 8 months already.
I think that we should use medicals only when they can save our lives or protect from very horrible sufferings. Otherwise: if that pain does not kill You, better to deal with it without medicals.
