Do u have time to spend with u r family?

yes, it is very sad to hear that skilled, motivated people lose their jobs. I also work for an IT company and I also work long and strange hours to the detriment of my family, often. Although we haven't got increases or bonuses in a long while, I am happy to still be employed. Your friend must just keep trying to find something..the economy will turn and then things will go better again.

i think this is sad we news what we got from him anyhow it is necessary for us to spend time usually with parents and company but we have to give first preferance to our parents without them we can't imagine our lifes.

Isn't it amazing how we can give so much of our valuable time to a company and then they can just make cutbacks, and then we are gone. I think that people need to realize money is good, but only good for providing. We can't be too materialistic. We need to focus on the more important things in life like family and friends. I am sorry to hear about your friend losing his job. Hopefully he will find somewhere to work that doesn't require so much of his time, and realize that it was all for the better. Good luck!

I try to spend as much time with my kids as I can. At times though, I only get to spend any real time with them during the week. I work most of their waking hours on the weekends, and during the week, my daughter has school. So any real time I spend with my kids is in the afternoon, at least for my daughter. My son I can spend all day with, except when he's naping. Then when he's down, it's MOMMY TIME!! lol

Sorry to hear about your friend who lost his job. There is nothing that is secured in this world. Everything is very dynamic and even working in the biggest corporation in this world will also have it's dark and groomy side of it. For me, I would always make sure I have enough time for my family especially my daught and my wife, and even my parents. I will make sure that every weekend i would completely spend my time with my family and weekdays night to be back by 8pm everyday.
