A good grilled cheese you must have the main ingredients two good cheese mozzarella and american cheese and not know of that slice cheese crapp. Then you get some good wheat bread and a tomatoe and toast it with some butter until it's golden brown. I have to make about two to three because if you don't it's a waste of time.

You've made me really hungry for a grilled cheese sandwich. I like to butter both sides of a couple of slices of whole wheat bread, and add Swiss and Muenster cheeses. If there are apples in the house, the cheeses change to cheddar and Swiss. It's so simple, but so very, very good!

My husband is a vegetarian so he perfected his grilled cheese sandwiches. He has a few faves.
First - His all time fave .. 3 kinds of cheeses ( American, Mozzarella, and the cheddar cheese sauce) and some fried potatos or french fries.
His 2nd fave is tons of cheese and peas. he makes mine with corn instead of peas and he also loves baked beans on his grilled cheese.

That sounds delicious! I hate sliced cheese! And I don't really care for American Cheese. It's just been over used. But, I love cheese, period. I personally like making a grilled cheese tuna sandwich. Same concept except I don't use tomatoes. Although that is a very good idea =]
