The Snow is Beginning to Fall!

I am in Ohio right now and it's supposed to snow this Sunday so I really can't wait. I haven't seen snow in over 8 years since I live in Florida. I want to take lots of pictures!!

It's a bummer the snow I was supposed to get turned out to be just a dusting as opposed to the 1 to 3 inches they had predicted for last night and today. But we do have a storem coming again Saturday and this is the one that will dump a lot for us they say for sure. They are saying 3 to 7 inches for my area. I love the snow and can't wait for it actually. Here in Minnesota we are already like nearly 6 inches above normal snowfall for this time of year. Been long coming for a snowy cold winter for me. I love it. You take care out there as well and be safe if you drive in it please. HAPPY HOLIDAYS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

Here in Ohio it is a wintry mix. Alittle snoe and alittle ice. My mom is in Michigan and she is supposed to get between 6 and 10 inches of snow today. I wish i was their with her. I love snow. We grew up ice skating,sledding and riding snowmobiles. So bring on old man winter.

I don't know for sure where you are at....but we got 8 inches last night...I went to work early before the plows went out and it was okay but a bit freaky. I am glad I have an SUV to plow through it! Right now it's beautiful out....warm and sunny. We get one day break and then back to let it snow! LOL...

I don't envy you at all. I live in Southern California and for us it's been really cold all this week (Highs of 44-48 degrees). Imagine my surprise this morning when I got up and saw frost on the roof of my garage and our fish ponds were frozen over! I'm a transplant from the midwest and there is nothing worse than having to drive in the snow and the ice. Stay safe.

I wished it snowed over here in where I live in California, but that will never happen. Just really cold winter storms and showers that are also not pleasant. :(

snow is nice to play in but not to go out to work in, lol, I don't wish for snow anymore, it comes or it doesn't.

to be honest, i do not have any idea per personal experience, as to how to deal with snowtime. much more when it snows that much. in my country, we do not experience the four seasons in a year. it is only the wet and dry seasons for us. others name it the rainy and dry seasons. i used to think, when i was a child, that the countries which experience the four seasons each year are very much blessed. most probably, this was developed in me subconciously, by the december song dreaming of whilte christmas. then all the christmas cards that i used to get hold of then, had the snows all over those cards yet! they looked so enticingly beautiful. now, i have changed that. i love the seasons that we are having in the philippines. moreso, because i have turned a farmer lately. i used to be a practicing civil engineer, turned into an office buff after sometime due to the demands of more time to be spent with the kids. now, i must be available whenever needed full time. farming is the only option left for me. i can alwalys leave the farm and leave unto the hands of the Almightly all the trees that i am growing therein. yes, this way i am able to earn sufficiently to see me through the better days of my life.

Hello friend. It is nice to have snow, but too much snow can cause trouble. Right now we have not had our snowfall yet, but I am looking forward to it. I love to see the ground and roof of the houses and trees covered with white snow. So beautiful to watch. Keep warm, friend.

This morning at 7 am. the weather was fine....not long after it started to snow then sleet...it was awful..Kids were already in school....we ended up with at least 6 inches and it is crusty..my son was out shoveling today and it was sleeting really hard... Be very careful in the morning when you go to work...I hate driving or even being a passenger in a vehicle when there is snow on the roads... I will be thinking about you..

Where are you from? In Michigan where I'm at we had almost a foot of snow total today! I didn't mind though because I didn't have to drive. It's been nice staying in and relaxing. I love working from home!If I had to drive in this mess I'd be upset. I don't know how people drive in it. I don't mind snow, but we had a mix of sleet, snow, sleet,and then ice! Yuck. That is a dangerous combination.

My boyfriend was just singing that song about an hour ago (I know he's kind of a goof) we are at about 4 inches now and it's still coming. I didn't know it was your fault.

Lucky you! Here is Missouri, we're lucky to get 1-2 inches of snow. But last year, we had tons of snow storms. This year so far, we've had one snow day. I'm hoping for more!!! I used to live in Minnesota, and up there, no one cared if it snow 5 inches. You would still have to go to school the next day. It was pretty cold there, so that was one of the reasons why we moved to Missouri. I hope it stops snowing for you and starts snowing for us!!!

I am in Northern Ohio, we had some nasty weather. Snow, sleet, freezing rain, and ice. Throughout the night I could hear the ice hit my window. This morning I finally looked out, yep everything was white and coated in thick ice. That was on top of the snow we had already had. I had shoveled my walk the other day. Today I had several inches of ice on it. I threw some salt out, after awhile I went out and chopped the ice and scooped it off the walk. We were some of the lucky ones, we didn't loose power or have trees come down. I am so looking forward to spring already. Quit wishing for the snow. Think sunshine...

So, you're the one to blame for ruining my plans today. It started near one here as well. I'm hesitant to go out tomorrow; I 've never driven in the snow. Lucky my friend can pick up my last remaining Christmas present.

Our storm started at 10:30 this morning. for a while it was heavy and we were getting about an inch an hour, now it is turning over to freezing rain. then we are supposed to be getting another storm on sunday. Hopefully the snowplows will get thier job done and you will be able to get to work safely.

Yes the snow is falling here in New Hampshire and it's friday night. We are expected to get 12" by morning then another storm comeing in on sunday snow/mix and we are expected 6" to 10" of that oh no. I look at it this way it's going to do what want's as long as we don't lose power then fine but if we lose power oh will I not be a happy camper. It'll be a white christmas though!
