Mahjong - A form of Addiction or Leisure?

Do you played mahjong? Do you think it is a form of gambling addiction or leisure/pastime hobby? What do you think?

I personally belive that it is a game for kids. My husband is so fond of it and play alteast 5 rounds a day. I don't understand the pleasure of it. I make fun of him saying he is addicted to it.
