There certainly are pirates. The recent capture of an oil tanker by pirates from Somalia says it all. There are often cases in the Mediterranean of yachts being boarded and robbed.
The 'yo-ho-my-hearties' swashbuckling image of pirates can be traced directly to Robert Louis Stevenson's "Treasure Island". It is really totally imaginary and quite false. Pirates are (and always have been) dangerous criminals.
The fiction still makes a good film and, I believe, a good game but one has to remember that it's in the same class as Santa Claus and the Tooth Fairy!

Have you herd in the news? There are some pirates off of the Somalian coast. They have been raiding boats and small cruise ships and even fishing and cargo ships. Messed up right? I do think there are still booty hunters out there, just they are really rare. I really did like the Pirates of the Caribean movies, never seen them in anime though. We own the game for PS2. It's a hard but fun game. I had a lot of fun playing them.

To believe? I surely know: THERE ARE! I have seen it on the news, in the sea they stole a huge ship. And was not the first stealing in the sea. And of ships. So...Yes, it is true and pirates still exists.

I think I've heard the news about the pirate. But I have doubt about their life for being a pirate in such a modern time. It's like they still live in the period of time which no one cares about the law or something like that. They better not to go back on the land. Because they will get punished by what they've done to others.
