I do not see anything wrong with girls playing with boy toys and boys playing with girl toys. My don played with dolls when he was little and guess what he is a very caring and affectionate big brother. I believe it is due to playing with dolls. How does a boy learn to be a gentle father if he has no father in his life?

That is so stupid. Toys are toys who cares what they are. What happens if you are really poor and the only gifts that have been given to you for your boy are girl toys? then I guess your boy plays with them cause thats all he has. Some people really need to grow up before having kids.

You know that some people say that boys playing with dolls will make them a punk but I do not think so. I have a family member who will not let her son even touch a doll because of that.

Oh, never. There is nothing wrong with it at all. In this day and age, anything goes, and girls can be anything they want to be. I don't think twenty years is going to pass before we have a female president. I think that it is a very good idea to do everything you can to make sure your children see the genders and mostly equal, just not the same. Boys should be encouraged to help bake cookies and girls should be allowed to help dad patch things up!

You are absolutely right, girls can be whatever they want to be. Thanks for the response.

I don't see anything wrong with girls playing with toys that are labeled as traditionally for boys. I played with cars and army men and cap pistols when I was growing up and I don't think it warped me a bit. Of course I also played with dolls and had tea parties.
I also believe that boys would benefit by being exposed to traditional girl activities. Playing with dolls or having tea parties with their sisters and friends would help them develop a well rounded attitude toward society in general and women in particular. I read a study once that boys who played with dolls made better fathers than boys who only played with boy's toys.

I do not see anything wrong with a girl playing with a car. I think that toys should not be regulated by gender. Children should play with whatever makes them happy. I also do not think that playing with a certain toy will make a girl and less of a girl or a boy any less than a boy.
I think toys should be whatever makes the child happy. Who knows, maybe your daughter will want to design cars one day.

I think kids will be happy with anything they play with but you got some parents that tell them take girls play with this certain toy and boys play with these certain toys. Thanks for the response.

I see absolutely nothing wrong with it. I mean typically remote control cars are thought to be boy toys but hey whatever. I used to play with hot wheel cars when i was a little girl. Who cares. As long as it makes her happy!

I do not care what other people think because that is my daughter and I just want to see her happy on Christmas morning. Thanks for the response.

My daughter loves remote control cars and I have no problem with her having one. I want to get her a race track so she can see how much fun they are (ok, I really want it for myself). I don't think of these as boy toys, but rather indulging the sporty side of females.
