Yeah...sure and it is a common phenomenon. But not to say afraid, actually. I would like to call it as over-respect, where I do not know their level of acceptance. At the same I push up myself to be good which is very wrong step. Should be, I must be myself and ready with the situation of 'hoping the best and expecting the worst'.

The first time I met my fiance's parents it was actually his dad's birthday and you could say I was afraid. My fiance had picked me up and then his mom called, we weren't to far from where I lived at the time, and after he got off the phone I told him to turn around and take me home that I needed to change my clothes. He wouldn't though, said I looked fine. We had to wait for his parents to get to where we were going to eat, and I was scared. I didn't know what I was going to say, but all in all it was a nice dinner. Now I live with them and my fiance of course, and I'm not afraid at all.
