What Does My Lot "Leaderboard" At Bottom of Discussion Screen Mean?

Hi, Rather new here. I've noticed at the end of most discussions, if not all, regardless of category, there seems to be a list of photos of people and the heading will be titled "People Leaderboard" or "Friends Leaderboard" or whatever the category is I'm looking at during that time. This list of photos at bottom of page I'm looking at will have something beside each photo like "level 14" or some similar count next to them. What is this, what is a "leaderboard," what does this mean on mylot? Thanks for information here.

When someone posts a discussion/answers to a discussion in a certain cateogory he/she is automatically assigned a number of points. The Leaderboard is in fact a hierarchial reflection of the category's most active 10 users.
In this context, more posts in that particular category will bring the user more points, which eventually will germinate in having him/her as the most active in that specific department. Bigger the level of interest in that category, closer to the top 10. (Mention, some categories as mylot.com have a maximum rank of 17)

Leaderboar means people who get maximum (+) with their discussions started in that interest. Like You have started it in mylot and I am giving you a (+) your ranking in mylot interest will increase and one day it will be the maximum. Then you will be at the top of that leaderboard.

Ohhh, I get it now. That's what all those + and minus marks mean at the bottom of the discussion and response windows. Thanks so much. So, can I mark your nice response a plus in return, since it helped me? Or do you only mark discussions that were started and not responses?

Yea, lots of web sites have their own little quirks that I've never figured out. Keeps things interesting I guess. Looks like this has to do with the plus and minus marks at the end of the discussion window, to mark as plus or minus interest in rankings of interest of discussion started. Have a great Christmas yourself. Hard to believe it's almost Christmas. Year went by fast.
