I think it's a matter of taste. There's some of both that is really good and some that's really bad. I don't care for country that's too slow or rock that has no melody and is just noise.

i think i love both.though there are more people like the rock music than the country music, i think both of they are great.sometimes we will feel good when we are listening the rock music.but maybe we will feel better when listening the country music.that is difficult to say it.it bases on our feeling and exprience.

I like both but I think I like country just a little better!!! I find country music tugs at the heart strings just a little more. Actually, I prefer Blues & Jazz to either of the ones you asked about. Blues & Jazz just makes me feel happy ALL over!!!

i am personally a rocker my self. country is always slow and sad( or most of it is) and the guitar in the rock music is allways distorted(exelent)

Hi there Jonah! Well, personally, I like rock much better than country music but it's all a matter of the listener's preference and I know a lot of people who likes country music better. But if it's just for my opinion, I choose rock music.

Well, everyone's going to have their own opinion but I like both so I don't think one is better than the other. I was strictly into rock n roll until sometime in the late 80's when some songs crossed over from the country stations to the rock ones and vice versa. I checked out the country stations and found that I liked that music, too. I think that country is more laid back than rock is but, good music is good music, which is why I also like jazz and some hip hop, too.

This is an ignorant question because music preference is subjective. The foundations of an individuals taste in music comes from life experience, what we are raised on and introduced to in our culture. I personally prefer rock music because my background increased my chances of loving rock music rather than country but that has nothing to do with country music's merit. Both genres are loved by many and are credible forms of music.
