Some people think revising and editing articles are optional measures that do not really affect the outcome of the paper. They think that as long as the idea is there and the facts are right, the readers can easily make do with what they have.
However, names, dates, even first hand information became useless if they cannot be understood by the reader. The thoughts must be in order, words spelled correctly and phrases arranged as intended. If the reader has to try hard to decipher your article, then you have defeated an important purpose of your writing--to communicate.
In revising, you take the insights and perspective of the first draft and reshape it to the new piece using a different approach and structure. You could add more facts to areas where they are lacking, streamline your paper by deleting unnecessary sentences to keep the reader from dozing off and reorganize your facts, sentences and paragraphs to add more depth and meaning.

To submit a piece of writing, as soon as the actual writing is completed, is simply submitting a first draft, or a rough copy.
Any good writer will knows they can always improve their work, and everything needs to be checked for punctuation, spelling, grammar, and use of vocabulary.
Structure, form and style are as important as content. A badly written article will not be understood, or the reader will lose interest before they reach the end.
I take a pride in how I present my own work, and I spend much more time revising a piece of writing than I do in actually composing it. It is an essential part of the writing process.

Revising the article is a good idea. It increases the revenew share if you are writing to internet article sites. If a new writer steping into freelancing, errors can be many in the initial days. Visiting the article another time on another occassion helps you to add more information and helps in correcting many formatting errors.

I think that revising and editing are an important part of the writing process.
Normally, there are a few ways that a peice of work can be improved. I think it is a writer's goal to improve their writing to the best of their abilities so they can reach the widest variety of readers. If the writer is good at what they are doing, they will draw in more readers and be better off in the long run. I think these are just a few of the reasons that editing and revising are important.
