The theme of the expo is "Better city, better life". For detailed information, please go to the official website "expo2010china.com.cn", where you will find a lot about expo history, what is planned, how is going on, and I would draw your special attention to the architectures your country has planned for the expo, including Britain, France, Italy, Switzerland, Australia...
The municipal government is doing a lot to improve traffic, envrionment, to give an optimal presentation by then. The expected number of visitors is 70 million. Hope you will be one of them.

It will be better if we focus more on building a sound social welfare system than put on that kind of show. I hope the municipal government could launch a economic campaign during the holding of Expo 2010 so as to cut the lavish exhibition centre construction and some other face-earning expenses. More importantly, the whole project should be better be under the scrutiny of the public.

I agree with you. Forced by the current economic situation, the administration has to run the expo in a frugal way.

I am a chinese, and I am very pride the expo will be hold in shanghai.
the government have done lots of thing for the expo.

The world expo is an international occasion to show mankinds inventions. A lot of places and products became famous after the expo, such as the Tower in Paris, the sewing machine, coco cola. The current one is to focus on how people of the world tackle the natural issues to maintain urban a green place to live and enjoy. Hundreds of countries have sent their solutions as exhibits for the theme. You will find it a meaningful occasions to exchange experience, and expose to others' wisdom to improve your own status.
To prepare for the world expo, the municipality is doing a lot of environmental and transportation improvements, which the people of shanghai can benefit directly. And a lot of countries are to utilize the opportunity to boost turism and economic relationship. While caring about the earth in front of your feet, we need to look ahead for the blue sky.

I'm living in Shanghai so I could clearly feel the coming of Expo 2010. Nowadays road construction could be seen everywhere in the downtown, which result in serious traffic jams. Many people complain a lot about such inconvenience. According to the plan, such situation will obviously improve before the opening of Expo. For the residents have sacrificed a lot, wish the Expo could be held successfully.
