I am looking for a freelance job where I can work anywhere I want. I am bored about my life and thinking of doing a shift in my career. Any of you planning to do the same? How can we have a freelance job and convince the employer that we are good in the field they are looking for?

Generally in most freelance jobs, the best thing to do would be to build a portfolio. If you were to be applying to a let's say, photographer job. You would build a portfolio comprised of all your different photographs to be ready to show the person you're interested in the job from. Also, toning a cover letter/resume to that specific employer can help as well. Freelance in general though now that there is internet might be better to do online. Such as building a webpage showcasing whatever freelance skill you may have, and trying to attract as many employers to your page as possible. If you need help with that your best bet might be to find someone that does something like Graphic Design. There are a looot of freelance graphic designers out there. Ask them how they attract employers. Some of these guys make a living off of this kind of stuff. If that doesn't help, search for freelance photographers, ask them what their trick is. The best bet really.. is to try to find people that actually do freelance & see how well it works for them & then try to "imitate" their success so to speak & listen to any tips they may provide. Hope this helps!

At first I thought it will be an easy job..where I can have the job in a minute.. but it was not, base from my proposals and what you've said, it is not an easy job. It is like you will be running your own company. And it is not easy. And I also found a website where in you have pass the exams to be able to say you are a qualified freelance. Tough! I might focus to my job now and decide again whether to go freelance or not.:-)

Well it's all about how motivated you are, and the means in which you use to find employment for freelance stuff. Well, at first it might seem like a lot of work.. but it's a groove you kind of have to jump into. The bad thing about it is its completely unstable & you have to get used to the idea that you won't have a paycheck coming in every month, necessarily. One month you could make $500-$1000+, the next you could make $300, and the next you could make $0, which means the past two months you have to hope will supplement that third month that you just had bad luck! I think realistically though if you maintain at least a parttime job(As long as you can get into one a little above ok.), do freelance stuff, & do some random kind of things similar to Mylot it probably wouldn't be too hard(Other then like I said, at first.). Of course, this is based on the idea that you live in the US. I'm not sure how it's like up in the Philippines & also the money I mentioned was refering to USD as i'm not sure how much Phillipiano money is in comparison to USD,
Oh, if you're looking for a little extra side-cash, there is a review site I know of that you may be interested in? I'm not sure if it's for people outside of the US, though. $0.40USD per bulk-rate review(OK review), and $2.00USD regular-rate review(Ok-to fairly good review.)
