what will you do if there is a power failure for more than one day and the battery in your computer drained fully and you have nothing to do other than sitting at home? I cannot even imagine such a situation. I don't know what I will do with my kids, without microwave, with cooking electric range etc...

Every house there is a fire place and I would use the fire place to cook and keep the house warm and there will be some light in the room. In India olden days women use to cook using log and fire and kids used to play where ever parents are working. We can also do the similar method to cook and kids will figure out what to play like puzzle, or sing rhymes.

Every home has a fire place and I would start the fire place put some fire logs and keep the fire place burning, in India it is the old tradition where women cook with fire logs, people did not have electricity in those days, so we can also cook use the fire place as the stove and that would also keep the house warm, and also there is some light at home. Kids will also figure out some thing to play, like puzzle, drawing, or we can sing songs, rhymes, or we can have family game. This is my suggestion.

I´d call for pizza delivery since phonelines are not affected by power failure. And then I´d get the guitar and go out to the porch and play and bond with my siblings.

First of all I think you could get stuff to barbecue and make it a camp out like setting if the weather is good. If the weather is bad then start a fire in the fire place if your home has one.
I think you can play board games via candle light and sing songs to make some noise, you can read books and take nature walks. Make a fort with a blanket over the dinning room table and camp out there, line the chairs from the dinning table up in a line and play train. The first person in the chair is the conductor of the train and he/she can pick where the train is going.
There are a lot of things to do without electricity if you give it some thought.

I would read a book. But if I had to get on the computer I would go out to my car and plug it into my power converter. There are all kinds of things we can do actually without electricity. Most of the time we would find the experience pleasant unless it was really cold out and that was our only source of heat. I have lived that way before and I survived it.

Man discovers something to fulfill his needs and what the situation demands. So,you will sure find the alternate ways to continue your living. You are familiar with computers, oven, electric cookers and all the appliances that depend on electricity for just some years.Long ago, people survived without all this and you can manage too even now. There will be a starting trouble in the beginning and then everything will be fine.Dont lose heart!Have a good day!

Actually, that may actually be a fun experience. We would learn what it was like for people that didn't have electricity that lived hundreds of years ago. It would be just like camping. I would cook food with your family over a campfire, play songs on my violin, etc.
