Dear all, I'm planning to buy a netbook around February - March 2009. What brand/model can you recommend?

Hey, There are many people who ask this question. I hope I might be of some help. Do you want to get an 8.9" screen one or bigger? If you are aiming for an 8.9" screen one I highly recommend to you either the Acer Aspire One or the Asus EEE PC 900HA. The Acer Aspire One and the EEE PC 900HA are basically exactly the same. They both have a 1.6GHz Intel Atom Processor, 1GB RAM. The 900HA comes with a whopping 160GB hard drive while the Aspire One comes with 120GB. Note: do NOT get a netbook that has an SSD as its hard drive. They are REALLY slow. Most people think that when they buy it, it's fast. That is quite true, but once you use your laptops for a number of weeks the SSD (flash) drive gets slower and slower. So I do NOT recommend getting a netbook with an SSD as the hard drive. Hope this helps with your decisions.
