are horror games scarier in 1st person or third person?

I think in my opinion,fps have a stronger effect on horror games such as fear and dead space would be scarier if it was in a fps pov.

I think it depends on the type of game. I remember playing Resident Evil 4 and I rembemr the first time playing it, I felt paranoid. The atmosphere for the game is really good. I've played some of the other RE's and they don't feel as paranoid as Re4. I hear Silent Hill has a really disturbing atmosphere, but I haven't played it.

I think FPS games are much more scarrier than TPS games as the horror scenes occur much close than in TPS games.The camera is at eye-level which also adds to the horror.

Yes fps is scarier because you look through the eyes, and you can't see what 's behind you.
