Weight loss and sleep problem

A quick question for all you Lotters out there. My partner wants to lose weight and is pretty determined and so on. We have a running machine that I bought her a while ago and she does this regularly.
The odd problem is that she will always have something to eat about an hour before she works out (so she has energy) - and it always makes her really, really tired. I know that eating tends to make us all feel a little weary, but this is actually enough to make her drop off to sleep!
Has anyone encountered a similar problem? It's really messing up her sleep patterns.

After you eat, you start digesting the food, and that means the body is busy with that. You can actually have a blood sugar drop after eating because of it (partly why you have to fast before taking a blood sugar test when you are diabetic.)
This can make you sleepy. My guess is that she needs to change what she eats, maybe a piece of fruit instead of a peice of cheese. I don't know for sure.
I know I can go for hours fasting but when I eat something, I just go to peices...
Oh, and not getting enough sleep can lead to weight gain!

Yeah, I agree. Its not because that I got because of that, wrong food and not enough rest! :(
I now dont eat much (my mom was shocked when she saw me eat last time, she couldn't believe that I eat very little and yet I am sooooooo fat!), but I still dont get enough rest. I am workaholic, and I have mild insomnia.
I, too am planning to change the food I eat and my sleeping patterns.
